"Interesting Medical Patient"

More pleasures of having MS. Two things. I went to my family doctor quite a while back. Can't even remember why now. Anyway, in his dry and straight forward approach, he said something like, "you are certainly an interesting medical patient." I probably responded simply with, "cool." He exclaimed, "no, no! You don't WANT to BE an interesting medical patient." LOL. He was having trouble figuring something out. Another incident...this time with my neuro. He pushes back on my foot...you know, up from the bottom to bend the ankle, I guess. My leg starts doing it's thing....spazzing all over the place jerking like crazy. He got this excited, bright look in his eyes and said whatever that is called and then asks if he can please bring in his PA to see. Again, I guess I was the "interesting medical patient." I said, "Sure. Bring her in." Heck, if they can share my abnormalities to learn or teach something by showing it first hand, that's fine. It was sort of funny, though.

I had to look that acronym up! That's one area I haven't had much trouble...visual. Now, throw a Disney acronym in there and I might do better. Priorities. Ha!

Aw, shucks. I think you are, too. I'm sure that's what he meant as well, right? Yes, that's it. 😃

We can choose to look at any way we wish, right? I like to tell my husband that I'm still a "woman of mystery!"

I always tell mine, "I have MS, remember?" For example, I say that when he tells me he answered my question already. His response is always something along the lines of, "Oh, my gosh! Really?! When did this happen?!"

I suspect he's a keeper.

Yup! One time I had a terrible sore throat and it turns out I had almost a blister back there. Doc called in 2 other docs just to see it. Fun times, fun times..
