I had to go back to ER because I couldn’t swallow at all. They did CT scans and more MRIs. Looks like the problem is I’m error swelling. The hospitalist said he didn’t think I’d need more surgery. The gave me Depomedrol, but so far, no noticeable change, I hope to still go home tomorrow.

Oh Erin I am sorry. By doing it through the front of your throat, you will get swelling, it does take a couple of days to settle down and for the swelling to reduce. I know I was on soup and liquids for a good week before I dare put solid food down me because of swallowing. Keep your chin up, it will all get better soon, take care, big hug, 🙏 🤗 🍫 💐

Thank you. After they gave me that dose the morning after surgery, I thought I was in the clear. It’s always discouraging to discover we still have a way to go. I still can swallow now, but don’t know if they will offer more steroids thus morning or not. I appreciate the prayer.

Any surgery creates trauma to the body not only at the site of the injury, but in other sites as well. It's rather like a four alarm fire: not only are many trucks there attempting to contain and extinguish it, but nearby streets are blocked off, hoses stretch everywhere, and adjacent buildings are being evacuated. I'm so sorry for so many reasons. I'm holding you in my heart, hoping for both a speedy resolution to this problem, and a solid, pain free recovery.

Hang in there! Now might be a good time to try the juicing thing I did for over a year. Remember, all fruits and veggies. Don't try juicing a turkey, I doesn't work. But maybe, maybe the turkey in the vita mixer lol? You'll get through it, hang in there. Who said anticipation was the hard part?

I got a shower all by myself this morning! I still look like a wreck and sound like Louis Armstrong when I talk, but the swallowing is very slowly improving. I'm starting to feel a little shaky from all the steroids, but know it will pass soon. Thank you for your prayers! I won't answer each response to this message, but I am grateful for you all!

Thank you! My MS has really taken a back seat to this. All these steroids must be having a positive effect!
