Feeling productive

So apparently there is this little creature that can enter your home through your groceries. They look like tiny moths. I started noticing them in my pantry and then a few in the kitchen. I could not figure out where they were coming from.

I googled them and they can reproduce rapidly, which freaked me out! This was an excellent reason for me to completely clean out the pantry; wash the shelves and reorganize. I am not a very organized person, so Pinterest to the rescue! I found some cute colored bins at the dollar store and the kids and I got it all done. I’m pretty wiped out, but I felt productive and glad I got something accomplished. Hope I can type tomorrow at work!

Sounds like pantry moths. Most hardware stores (and online) carry sticky traps for them. It's been my experience that they are difficult to completely eradicate as they can lay their eggs in the tiny gaps between cupboard walls and shelves. I always have a box of sticky traps on hand...just in case. Right now I am dealing with fruit flies. I have a trap set up for them but somehow they also get into my refrigerator and freezer (don't ask me why) where they die, so I am always wiping up the tiny corpses. But honestly, I do keep a clean kitchen.

That is exactly what they are- pantry moths 🤦🏻‍♀️ I got tooth picks and swiped out all the little crevices. We will see what happens.

I can’t do sticky traps. I live in an area with lots of tarantulas and they get stuck on the traps. I hate them, but don’t want to hurt them.

Oh my goodness, Tulip77 These little white moths would be the least of my worries, however those tarantulas are are whole different story! :-D
