I'm convinced i've just gone crazy. There are things I've purchased at the grocery store, before all the insanity began. I remember pulling them out of the bag and, putting all but one, away in the pantry. I started questioning my sanity with the bottle of generic anti-diareah med disapearing apperantly right after I pulled it out of the grocery bag. Then a week later, a jar of pesto that I pulled out of the bag and put in the pantry. It has vanished. Now, a tin of herring I got last week and also put in the pantry is AWOL. My partner wouldn't touch any of these items. So, I'm begining to believe I simply imagined purchasing these things.

Anything is possible! Don’t sweat it - these things may turn up or not. I know how frustrating this can be. I feel for you. Just let it go and remember to stay positive !
Perhaps the pantry has moved?
Don’t worry, it’s the cat 🐈
Now if it was just the herring and the Cat formerly known as Kitten was allowed into the house beyond the garage would be the perp. But the big guy who gets to live in the main part of the house because he dosn't pee everywhere, declared himself a vegan when I brought him home from the shelter 9 years ago. His crime is sock theft.
My mother invented someone called "Mrs. Allison" on whom she blamed everything like that. Maybe you need an invisible friend. I know I do.
I recently found eyedrops in a plastic grocery bag that made me question my sanity. I knew I bought them! 🤣
there's thing where when you're looking for something you can never find it. you can look in that same place a million times and when you stop looking for it there it is in the place you looked 5 million times What's up with that?
Unless your cats like herring, it's good that's gone! I love fish, but herring, never did. My dad loved it, no matter how many times I tried....not for me.
Now the pesto, I make lots every year from the way too much basil I plant and grow, and freeze it, when that's gone, I'll go for the jars. But, honestly, it wasn't me.
Now the anti-diareah med,... I made it through crossing the border every day and working in Mexico for years just fine. The trick was to drink the water as follows: Just a sip, every day for the first few. Then a sip morning and afternoon for the rest of the week. Keep increasing the dosage, little by little for the first few months. By month 3, you can do anything that's thrown at you. REALLY! It worked for all of us from North of the Border! Those who didn't, even the anti-diareah meds simply went right through you with the rest, as I was told.
I sometimes think I bought something and weeks later I remember why I didn't buy it,I'll remember standing there and deciding not to.all I have to do is her look in the mirror to see someone who is getting old and crazy,I sure don't recognize her
Sounds familiar!!
Once I found a jug of milk in our cupboard! I think things have legs and walk away just to throw me off.
It's very possible you put them away just not where you normally would. I've done the same thing & found them in the fridge & freezer. I blame it on a poltergeist with a sense of humor!
I bet the dryer is involved! They are with the socks. R.I.P.
I swear there is a ghost in our home since this happens to me all the time.
