G’day fellow ms siblings.”YOU” are all well and coping aren’t “YOU”. If “YOU” are not, change your attitude, things could be worse. Much worse. That is an outlook that “YOU” may want to take. If “YOU” are not sure what much worse is, I am sure somebody in our family could enlighten “YOU” . No today is a good day to be alive. The sun is shining, I can see no clouds in the sky. It is 63F going for 97. I have a few days left until it starts hitting 100. Not sure why I care as I live in a house constantly set at 73. I am not sure if that is good for me, does not let the body adapt to changing temperatures.
I think with our companion (ms) it be a good idea to take stock of your life every now and again over your many years with ms. It does get worse, skills “YOU” once had “YOU” will lose, or they will deteriorate. I am pretty sure that I could fly again if I had to, I just make no claim as to how pretty it would be or how comfortable the landing. Take off and cruise is easy. Landings are the tricky part. A skill not used will go away. If something is really important to “YOU”, try your hardest to keep the skills active. If “YOU” do not, it very well may go away.Flying, driving, I really do not mind that they slowly go away. Been there done that got the licenses to prove it. I am not saying to let go of all that “YOU” have done. Cherish them, remember them with fondness, perhaps a touch of melancholy, but enjoy the memory of them. The good times, your feelings of accomplishment. Your value. Now that ms has taken these things away, find something new. A skill that “YOU” may have never dreamed of, embrace it and see if something new might make “YOU” happy and fulfilled. “YOU” never know where life and a change of direction may lead “YOU”. Who ever knew that I would have have 635 posts on the website, plus a lot of smaller unnumbered comments. I think my total is over 700 today. Asking questions, lead to this. Something unexpected but very fulfilling. I was lost and just started doing something with no plan and it has lead to this.
I am not suggesting that writing is for “YOU”. Maybe something else is. Try something new for a month. Then if “YOU” want to something else. Then something else. Do not give up on yourself, there is no need to. There are lots of turns and sidetracks in our ms journey. Some due to health, others due to circumstances. Never stop, keep moving forward who knows where it may lead “YOU”. Do not totally give up on yourself. “YOU” are far too good for us to lose “YOU”.
