Hey Tracelr! Kelly here. I understand how you feel about meds. We are careful on this forum to state that we are a ragtag bunch, not doctors, at least I am pretty ragtag!
Personally, I look back at the treatment I was basically forced into for my first one with disgust. It was Novantrone, a strong chemotherapy med. I will pm you and tell you how bad it was. But my hair fell out when they said it would not and my risk of many cancers was horribly increased.
Anyway, I have had no MS meds for about 21/2 years, maybe a little off on time. We each must wisely make our own path, with knowledge, research and hopefully, a decent neuro, or is that an oxymoron? Love, Kelly
Traceir,m it's Fancy, whatever you do please do not stop taking your meds. Claim you don't see any Improvement but is no crystal ball that I know of that will show you where you'd be today without the meds you're taking. Getting off your meds will either Ms to run amok in your body and what you see and what you do with it is like the tip of an iceberg. There is so much more underneath the water or inside your body that you have no clue of the battle that's raging.
I would agree with Fancy1959. If you need to switch or do anything differently with the medicine, please check with your doctor first. Some things can do some nasty things to you when you just stop. So Please check first!
