Last week I received a letter giving me a neuro appointment in June2025. I thought that was remarkable. I have just received another letter giving me another appointment - for February 2026! 🤔You couldn't make it up.

I know that there are so many positive things about your NHS, but this is not one of them! lol
On a related note, my dad had an experience with "socialized" medicine back in 1976. He'd gone on a fishing trip to the backwoods of Canada with an old soldier friend. While cutting firewood with a chainsaw, it bounced off a knot and cut into his thigh, narrowly missing some important body parts. The friend had to load him in their small motorboat, then go an hour down the river where they were met by a group of Mounties who drove them another long distance to the only doctor. The 13" gash was stitched up, and my dad was freaking out at what all this was going to cost. He spent the rest of his life talking about how he was only charged $13. Something like that in the US would have probably bankrupted us.
What plans did they make for you for your birthday?😅
Just to clarify, is this an amazing, good thing because they are planning ahead for your future needs? Just making sure that's not their next available appointment for you, because that would be less than ideal! 😁
The situation is not much different here. In two weeks I have a neuro appointment that was the result of a referral scheduled 8 months ago (last year). So, it's been close to a year and no answer yet.
Okay, how about if you moved to Hawaii in 2026😊 I guess your doctor would have you fly back for the appointment lol
Congratulations!
There is nothing that shocks me anymore😱In weakness we become stronger🥰 I hope that a higher power-light will guide us to find professional renewal 😗 in all HEALTHY areas of our life. Patience and advocacy can heal us🫠 Thanks
