Thanks rjoneslaw are you done with the Ocrevus now? And do you have side effects, like being tired? πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸ¦ˆ

I have my 2nd half 7/9/19. So far no side affects. I have to do bloodwork and once I get my results I’ll do a post. I have seen improvements

Nope, but my daughter took it for seizures when she was very young.

That's why my son took it! πŸ˜’ Supposedly! His bio mom had him take it to make him sleep. πŸ˜’ πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸ¦ˆ

Do you know why your neuro asked this? I hope you don't have to stay, too.

My leg is acting very strange? My knee actually. It won't stop jerking. So he wants to discuss this option again. I'm pretty sure it's listed for spasticity? It was my 1st symptom but he never saw it.πŸ˜”πŸ€£πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸ¦ˆ

Never heard of Tegretol. Do your research, and I am sure that you have. Let us know how you are, after your appointment, if you can. If they keep you, then I hope that they can get to the bottom of what ails you.

Keep Smiling,

Carole :-D

But it comes with a helicopter ride and 'gourmet' hospital 'food' ~ it's really difficult to say 'no' to that! :-D

Yes I was on it for 6 months. I had a severe allergic reaction to it, it started with an itchy scalp that gradually made its way to my legs. My doc said 1 more month and it could have killed me. Speak to your doc and make sure it’s right for you, hope it goes ok today, Blessings Jimeka πŸ€—

I have a couple of patients on it for seizures. Haven't heard any complaints about side effects, but everyone is different.

I take carbamazepine for Trigeminal neuralgia. I think it’s generic tegretol. When the TN flares it’s a Godsend!

Tes I have, for Trigeminal Neuralgia. I do not receber the amount and with TN it was not real effective, nothing except surgery was. I do not recall any side effects but always took it with food, a glass of milk and honey with a biscuit (cookie) at minimum. Good luck and I hope they do their best with you.

2 pills a day, and I have had NO seizures since I've been on the meds! Good luck and Blessings

I took it for several months YEARS ago. I took it for Trigeminal Neurolgia because Gabapentin did not work. Worked good for me.

I’ve been taking Tegretol for several years for seizures. I had been hurt several times. For example, one time I hit my head, tore off the skin on my nose and tore the skin across my forehead.

Initially Tegretol made me tired, but that soon went. I’ve never had a single other symptom and I’ve never had another seizure.

It can also make you happy. It is sometimes used off-label in psychiatry as an antidepressant.

Wow @Gentle01 sounds like it did wonders for you! I'm so glad! I've been on it 3 wks now. But I don't have seizures. It was the shaky leg thing. So idk.πŸ˜”β˜ΊοΈπŸ€—πŸ’•πŸ¦ˆ
