Hello I am new to this so if I do or say anything wrong just let me know. I was diagnosed three years ago with MS not sure what it is. I was never told. I'm sure I could have asked but I didn't know there was several kinds at the time. I take Aubagio for it.. My hair is falling out in strands. And I go into Surgery on the 18th to get my teeth taken out because they are weak and crumbly from the meds?? not sure if it's MS related or medication related. But I'm enjoying my life so far. I work a full-time Permanent job and love my job!! I love to ride my horse Peso' he's short and fat like me so I don't have far to fall lol!! Just living my life the best I can!!

Welcome!
Hello and welcome skeeter2.
Welcome to the group!
Welcome skeeter2
This is a wonderful group of people. I screw up ALL the time in talking writing thinking you name it! In the beginning of my exacerbation I couldn't/wouldn't talk because I couldn't get my thoughts out correctly. Still can't talk right at times. My MS nurse reassured me I DIDN'T have dementia etc at the time because I didn't understand what was going on with me. Anyways I deal with mood swings depression it's hard at times living with MS and I choose Love and try not to be angry. Blessings to you becky
Okay, I'll bite - skeet shooter or mosquito?
Welcome aboard. I hope you’ll find this group beneficial. I, too, was diagnosed three years ago and I’m still learning, and often it’s from reading other people’s experiences and insights right here. Knowledge is power!
skeeter2, these medications side effects would worry me. The current trend is towards Ocrevus, it is well-tolerated. A couple of people here have reported hair loss as a side effect, otherwise people are showing great promising results. I was diagnosed 5 years ago. MS is a journey and will change your life. But you have to become proactive and not let it progress. You have to decide on the doctor, medications, diet and exercise. This is a great place to ask questions. Welcome!
Sorry to hear of your trouble with Aubagio. I have been on it about 2 years and other than some thinning of my hair that was temporary, I have had no complications. It seems that the difficulty with most prescription medications is that there are so many complications but they don't affect everyone the same way. I know that there are a number of other MS medications, so I would talk to your neurologist about what meds his patients have had the best experience with. I wish you the best of luck and it is was good to hear about your story. Have a great day!
Welcome, I wish I could ride a horse, they can be therapeutic. I also was told three years ago but symptoms over fifteen. Research, good specialists help. I also need much dental work. On disability and find my muscles are weak and cannot sit long. Ask questions, explore options. Good luck peace
