Inflammation, mood, brain... how it's all related

Interesting research:

medicalnewstoday.com/articl...

This finally explains the train wreck I was on since my 20s, leading to an MS diagnosis last year: I almost always had low energy, got really anxious, then stressed all the time, depression as well. In parallel, I could also never get rid of adult acne, itching. Joint pain showed up early in my 40s. Fatigue as well. MS in my early 50s. Things were always there but never bad enough for the doctor to find something to help me.

Changing my diet to non-inflammatory food has given me a second life. I feel like a different person, almost surprise myself by how I passively react to stressful situations. Hope next generation won't ever have to deal with this.

Are you following a specific diet? Which foods are you eliminating or adding?

No sugar, no dairy products, no meat.

I had cut food triggering inflammation because of rosacea several years back (spicy food, vinegar, soy, tomato,...) but it did not change much.

I'm mostly following msdietforlife. I find it easy to follow.

Thanks. Just looked it. Looks like it promotes gluten free as well. Similar to the best bets diet.

How long have you been doing that diet?

I started 12 months ago, but it took me a good 5 months to fully comply to it and find my new routine. I must say that it was probably easy for me in that I've always loved veggies and fruits and was never into red meat.
