MS hug Fairey visited me, I think.

I awoke to the feeling of intense pain in the center of my chest, as if a hand had reached in and was squeezing my ribs together. It felt like intense acid reflux, which I do not have. I took tums and Advil. It's going away now but wondering from others who have had this fun before, what to expect and any tips would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't offer you help.

I experienced the MS Hug before I was diagnosed.I went to a chiropractor thinking it was neck/back trouble. He suggested that I might have MS which turned out to be true.

I didn't really have the pain you describe but the feeling of being squeezed was no fun.

I have not experienced that sensation in years.

Just make sure that it’s nothing heart related. Ms hug can be intense, but I always take any new chest pain seriously. I’m glad you’re feeling better, but I do hope you let your doctor know about this.

I had the MS hug myself felt like a elephant was sitting on my chest it was painful until it stop. I was told to stand against a wall and hold pressure on my back seems weird to me I wonder how it would work. Next time I had the hug I try it and it help me with the pain.

To the Dr I will go tomorrow. Can I say "This is ridiculous!"

Welcome to the MS Hug. I've had it once and fortunately it didn't last very long. I was in bed and realized what it was (after the initial thought that I was having a heart attack). I breathed through it. It sure was scary!

When I had the hug there was no pain just felt like I could not get a good breath like a band around my mid section. Haven't had it for yrs. That pain sounds too close to a heart problem. Please get it checked soon!!
