My husband and were recently discussing some of the changes which MS has brought to our lives. He admitted that he missed our ability to do something on the spur of the moment for fun. (Of course, I only remembered doing work on the farm, but his memories differ!) We finally had enough snow a couple of days ago for people to build snowmen, and I did enjoy watching it come down. When my husband got home, he took the dog into the back yard to tinkle. I followed him out, made a snowball, and threw it at him (gently!). He was so shocked, and I actually was, too! But we laughed about that for days. It brightened my mood significantly, and helped his, too. It got me thinking about ways I could add even a little spontaneity or fun to brighten my day and those around me.
Do you have ideas you would share to keep life a little more fun?

Yes Carleen, only if it's all natural Hemp Oil,💐😄😎👍😸 Sorry that it is so expensive, maybe we should invest just a little in it's stock, I notice it is goin thru the roof!😄😛😎👍😸Wow!
I too take cod liver oil capsules every day but have recently done a little more reading and research on websites in the UK which suggest it is the flaxseed oil I take which is keeping relapse at bay. I take 1,000 mg cold prezsed flaxseed oil every day. Flaxseeds ground up a little would probably help too but I have no idea of quantity. If you can, it would be a good idea to do a little research on US sites and don't forget we are all different so what works for one may not work for all. Blessings this Sabbath.
Every weekend my 10 year old grandson comes to doggy poop a scope for me, he uses the black plastic bags that have the tie handles. When he left the other day, he said that he had left me a present on the wash line outside. So, I smiled, said thank you but I forgot to have a look. Later I opened up the back door only to find, he had pegged a full doggy bag to the washing line. He said I needed a laugh. 😂
I agree about spontaneity greaterexp...it’s just simply fun...what my husband and I do is hop in the car and drive to either someplace new or just someplace only we know...when I was a child, my mother was the same way with us...for some reason I remember the time we drove to Connecticut (not that I remember much about being there) , so by now, my husband understands what I mean when I say, “hey, you want to go to Connecticut today?” Been saying that for 30 years....truly a blessing. Nice thoughtful post greaterexp...🦋💕
I do like all your stories but my problem is it has been so darn cold that I sit in the house and say “I am so glad I don’t have to go to work” to bad for anyone else haha
They have to go out. Oh does that sound too mean. Sorry 😐
My husband and I have great fun rolling the ball between us on the kitchen floor as the puppy runs to fetch and then jumps on our laps. 3 lbs of fluff and fun.
Lately when my husband tries to kiss me goodbye as he leaves for work, I wait until he gets close, jerk my head away and say,"You can't leave 'til I get a kiss!"
I keep moving my head until he has to grab my face to plant one on me!
greaterexp Your snowball escapade reminds me of a scene from Beauty and the Beast!
When money was tight, my husband and I would enjoy a date night in with a purchased box of cheese, crackers, pate, and wine from Costco, for about $20. We called it a Date Box, and we would have several on hand in case we wanted to have a date! Pair that with a rented video, and voila!
Great post and idea to throw snowball! I asked my hubby pretty much the same question. We had a pretty honest discussion after that ending with some hugs and
"I love you's"💕🤗 He's always afraid he might hurt me in some way physically and I gave him a playful punch in the arm & asked him to do the same to me. He didn't, but I told him, I am still me. I want to be hugged, hear his "I love you's" every morning and night, and hand holding!💕🤗💖 So far so good!💕🤗💖
