This actually was pretty easy, wonder why it took so long to work it out.

Australia May to October this year. I have to get my passport renewed and it is a good excuse to go visit my Mum again. She is getting older so I should spend any time that I can with her. she who must be obeyed will be glad to not have me around the house for the summer and I will get to fly on an aeroplane I wanted to fly on. The Boeing 787, and Air Canada as well. Now I just have to win the lottery and fly on Singapore Air on their flight from New York to Singapore. Need to give myself a week or so on that trip as I want to get out of the airport and look around Singapore. That might be too hot so Changi airport might be fun.

Ohh, the adventures I would like to have, maybe next lifetime. This one I have to learn. Learn how to cope with and be strong with a chronic illness. Relapsing-Remitting ms (RRms) Others have, others do. It is up to me to find my way along this long journey of my RRms life. I know that there might be pain, embarrassment, fear any number of strange unexpected events in store for me. I must learn to steel myself against these things. Maybe not a rigid steel pole, maybe more like bamboo. Able to bend in the face of my adversities, and as they pass straighten myself and stand tall. Yes, I will learn to be like Bamboo. I will bend but not break. "YOU" need to move past your fear. Our RRms path constantly throws up obstacles in our path. Learn to accept this. t is okay to be upset to cry to yell why me. The answer my friend is "BECAUSE" Because "YOU CAN" because "YOU WILL" because "YOU DO" Inside "YOU" is fire, maybe just a small flame today, but if "YOU" feed that fire and look after it. "YOU' can make it burn brightly inside "YOU" Give yourself the strength that "YOU" need to make this a worthwhile and good life. Live it well and live it knowing that "YOU" are strong. I do not have to tell "YOU" words are nice but not critical. "YOU" believe in yourself, "YOU" are not something to be ignored or pitied, this is Your journey, and "YOU CAN" travel it. Ask for help, learn all sorts of techniques and tools to make your life easier, but at 3 am "YOU" my friend are the only one there. "YOU" have to have that fire burning inside "YOU". "YOU" have to have that strength, that determination that drives "YOU" to say yes I am scared, but "I WILL DO THIS" I know that "YOU" can do "YOU" realize it yet?

Royce

The strength is within you, not outside, but within you.

Having said that I might suggest that you take a look around at how others exist on this planet. LEARN LEARN LEARN and make yourself better.

Yes, like you, I need to stretch my wings and visit family (okay, my brother) in New Zealand. That has been on my to do list, and I might have to go solo, and that is my dilemma, along with being away from my 'raison d'etre' for an extended amount of time. I could enlist the assistance of my daughter, so we'll see. Not even in the planning stages yet. Bon voyage! :-D

It's not the folks in New Zealand or Australia who talk funny - it's the folks who live in the Northern hemisphere :)

Okay, I will agree with that, but Kiwis do speak a little differently.

Yes, they talk funny, and I think that I am used to people talking funny! After all, I listen to myself all the time. And the earth moving? Yes. My brother recently moved from the north island to the south island ~ south of Christchurch. They are still experiencing earth tremors, I believe. It is all a matter of priorities, my friend. Do you want to live in paradise, with earth tremors, or somewhere that you don't like, with no chance of tremors? :-D

Still Dreaming of New Zealand,

Carole :-D

You have a point, Kiwiland is supposedly very beautiful and the Earth does not move that often in the scale of things.

RoyceNewton You are so inspiring! Here you are, contemplating a very very LOOOOOG flight and I procrastinate flying from east coast to west because the idea of changing planes is daunting. Once again, you point out a path to try. Thank you.

east coast to west coast should be easy, get a red-eye flight and just sleep. always mention that you are disabled and require help. you will get on the plane first and be near a toilet,

ask for an aisle seat, be over the wing or a little forward of it, it is quieter. Truly it is not hard if you plan a little first.

RoyceNewton This is not possible from small regional airports like those near me. Sometimes the best flight times are seasonal, other times unavailable. If I were going from LAX to Philly or Dulles, a red eye is possible...and I would if I could! But the rest of your suggestion is right on! Thank you!
