Dare to ask yourself

Dare to ask yourself a simple question. "WHAT NOW?" Naturally as "YOU" ponder your answer it will inevitably lead to further questions that "YOU" must ask of yourself. "How do I get where I want to go" What if I just can not, what them", "what are my alternatives."

As with regular life, our life with Relapsing Remoting ms (RRms) is full of questions. That miracle cure that "YOU" may hope for does not trally solve anything. Life must still be lived. "YOU" like I still have to find our purpose, that reason for throwing our leg out of bed each morning. That miracle cure does not make everything perfect. I for one wish it did, then again I am not sure what perfection is and if that is the point of my life. Is perfection the point of your life. Or could I be so brazen you suggest that your point may be to find your inner strength and to as best "YOU" can pass it along to somebody else?

" YOU" are important, your journey is not pointless. Along your path "YOU" leave gems that somebody may pick up. "YOU" may not see it or even realise it, but today, tomorrow and all your next days there are people who may not recognize it, but they are better for having had your influence.

This may be difficult confusing and even painful illness at times but, and there is always a but, It is up to us all to find a way. Find a way to persevere, to find a way to cope and keep walking our RRms path Dare to ask yourself, what if, can I and then why not. Our aim is to make our RRms life as purposeful as we can and to live that purpose as best we can. I am not keen on reliving RRms more times than I have to. I would like to learn what I have to learn and move on to my next lesson.

For my friend it is easier to say there is a lesson, otherwise those nights of pain, those facial surgeries, those embarrassing events, "WHY".

Thank you, Royce. I needed to hear this . I had one of those days yesterday when I felt so weird and strange, even to myself, and I was pondering these same questions. I didn't reach any conclusions, except that perhaps we are silent warriors, hidden in broken bodies, and all we have to do is just be. After the vertigo passed, I felt better. Each day is a journey, but I, and I am sure many of us, never know where it will lead.
