Hello everyone, I have to have a procedure called an Endovenous Ablation next month. I noticed tingling and weird feelings on my right side which normally is my weakest and thought it was a MS flare, but this wasn't a flare - poor circulation. Ugly spider vein, I've had on my leg for 38 years is the problem! I have seen a Vascular Specialist and had Ultra Sounds and other tests done..just scared. No surgery Radiofrequency and Lazer; still scared.

I have had many spider veins removed via laser via dermatologist; mine was strictly for vanity purposes. Was easy and quick but not cheap. I wonder if as you said it was for an honest medical condition perhaps insurance will pick up the charge.

What I read about the procedure is very reassuring. Did your doctor explain the procedure and what you should expect during and after it? Here's a link you might find helpful, but be sure you ask your doctor any specific questions:

Thank you, very very very helpful. I have just been so happy to have at least not been hospitalized since 2017 (hooray:) ) - I'm being a wimp!

Thank you Again -

You're not a wimp! I always feel better about any procedure if I have all the facts. Let us know how it goes!

Hi NeeC ,

Wondering if you found relief from this procedure?

I thought I’d share my experience in case anyone else reads your post.

I had 6 areas to ablate in April. The surgeon does 1 per week only. Did 4 and had to take a break.

I did get a-lot of relief. I too, thought it was an MS flair up at first. So, this was great news, when I found out it, is varicose Veins. 2 more to go...it for major veins. Not the spider veins.

Yes, it was covered by Medicare. This is a surgery. With a lazer. so if it’s done by some fast service vein place or a GP. No good. You will want to make sure you have a board certified surgeon. Nothing to play with. Recovery for each is a good week.

Hope you got your relief🤞🏻✨

Thank so much, I did go to my hospital; same doctors who treat my MS and my PCP so they tend to treat me like the spoiled "little rock star" - perfectly okay with that :) .

Again, thanks for sharing, they tell me I need injections in spider vein too. I'm taking a break for a moment.

Blessings
