Well I was doing pretty good today I took a shower that went well. I went to put my coffee in the basket of my ROLLATOR and as I was turning I turned to far my left leg hit the ROLLATOR and down I was going backwards and when I went down I hit my head in the wheel of my wheelchair. Boy did that hurt. I had to press the button on my emergency necklace and they were calling 911 my husband called me to see if he had to get out of work I said no. Well the EMTs got in the house because I have a lock box. Well they got in an after evaluating me they asked if I wanted to go to the EMERGENCY ROOM and I said yes we’ll you see during the day I’m by my self so I went to the hospital and had a CT scan that was good and I could go home. My sons friend was home from school and he brought me home. I am fine now but what a day.

FALLING
glad you were okay. Those kind of falls are very scary. Take it easy for the rest of the day.
Ouch! Not the day you intended but at least you are okay, thankfully.
Oh my goodness ssdw1958 Please take it easy, and stay safe.
Carole
Oh Sandy, whatever next. You did the right thing by getting checked out. So pleased you are ok. Now, as my hubby is always saying to me, ‘go steady’ hope you aren’t too stiff tomorrow, hugs Jimeka 💐 🍫 🦋
That’s why I went to the hospital I figure I am by myself I didn’t need to have to call 911 if something happened. You know what I mean. But your right I probably will feel this tomorrow oh joy oh bliss
Well I realize that latter last night I felt it I have never been tackled playing football but know I know what it feels like.
Glad to hear you did no permanent damage. Just when you were moving pretty good, MS reared it nasty head and sent a "Slow Down" message.
Glad to hear you're ok. Head injuries are no joke...we're already messed up enough with brains on MS...Last thing we need added is a concussion.
Yes you are so right. But I don’t think I had a concussion first time in a long time you know when your asked on a scale of 1-10 what is yours in the ambulance I said 7 then before I left the hospital they asked me again and I said 3 I must be getting pretty good to pain or maybe I am getting a hard head?? Lol
Oh, dear! I hope the recovery is quick. Even if there are no broken bones, I'm sure you're plenty sore.
Take good care of yourself.
I'm glad your okay. ❤🌷
Thanks falling makes a person realize guess what we you have a problem don’t push it.
ssdw1958 I'm so sorry you fell, but glad you were only frightened and banged about. You are wise to have both an emergency call button and lock box to allow EMT entry.
You are so right on the remote and the lock box I’ve had to have used them twice the sound of someone at the door was such a good sound I said to my husband so many people came to the house two paramedics, the firer truck I think they had four people oh yea there was a police man I remember saying before we left the house “ wait is everything off that needs to be off”. I said I don’t need to have a firer in the house. So the firemen walked into the living room and checked the kitchen and all said it looks good. So we left the house. What a day. What a day another good Thing that happened was that my sons friend was home so he could drive me home from the hospital I guess you find who the real people are when you need them.
ssdw1958 You had great presence of mind to have the firemen check that coffee pot, etc. were off! When I fell, I didn't think to ask anyone to check on things. After being in the hospital or skilled nursing rehab for 6 weeks I found a science project in my coffee pot and the refrigerator. Yuck. I had to run vinegar and hot water through the coffee pot several times to get rid of what was growing in it. I do have an emergency folder by the back door, but you prompt me to get another checklist. I don't intend to break the other ankle, but probably should be better prepared. Thank you for the reminder!
I’m glad I could help. I am one of those people who make sure electrical things are off if there supposed to be.
I remember when we first moved here 25 years ago a neighbor had put a box on top of there electric stove top and some one accidentally turned on the stove by the time they saw it they were running out the door. So that is one of my pet peeves. I was so bad that I would drive down the road and turn around to make sure everything was alright. I got out of that habit fast because I knew in my head I turned everything off and then I was starting to be late for things. So needless to say NO one leaves any thing on top the stove.
Well than again I don’t walk that fast too get out of the house.
Goodness! What a day! I'm glad they didn't need to keep you at the hospital. I hope you're doing better now.
I am I’m a little hesitant in my walking I just don’t want to fall again if you know what I mean.
