The other day hubby noticed something on my lower lip. I thought maybe it was just chapped (always dry since gamma knife several yrs ago) or maybe irritated at dentist a few days before. Then I noticed 3-4 more small white patches my lower lip last evening. No other lesion mouth or tongue.

I think it is thrush (yeast infection) and started on some nystatin oral suspension I still had from an episode 2 yrs ago when I was on antibiotics. Seems improved already.

No recent antibiotics. So I’m wondering if due to Ocrevus immune suppression? Anyone else had similar on O?

TIA

Have not had any thing like that show up. I was once showed some one who had thrush it aspired on the rough of there mouth and what made it happen was when they used one of there inhalers and didn’t rinsed out there mouth that is how they got there’s. I would see your PC so that, that can be confirmed and they can give them the appropriate info and any medicines they are needed.

Good luck to you.

I'm sorry you have that erash 😢 it stinks! And hurts! I had 2 bouts of it since last month. My PCP said that it's triggered by the steroids for the ON. I hope it goes away very soon for you!

Went through that when I was doing radiation and chemo treatment. Terrible 🤬. Probably should have it documented in case it is from Ocrevus? Good luck and you you get feeling better soon 🙏👍🐾😉 Ken

When I asked about immunosuppression before starting O, in respect to respiratory infections, I was told that those who are were prone to getting them before O would be the ones most likely to get them after O. So it makes sense to me that O would be causing you to get this again. Hope that it goes away soon

You nurses have a habit of not finishing the course, you always have some hidden in a cupboard, my daughter is notorious for it. Hope that it goes away soon. 🤗

No thrush, but I’ve been wondering the same about an itchy red patch on the waterline of one of my eyes.

Is it a stye?

No, it was the beginning of a meobian (sp?) cyst.

My neuro puts everyone who gets Ocrevus infusion on Valtrex for 3 months after the infusion - are you on it?

I’m on valtrex x 6 mos. but that’s for shingles prevention not thrush/yeast infections.

I haven't had yeast infections cuz I take plenty of Vit C, but I have had a bad bout of tinea corporis (ringworm). I have had maybe one or two spots every couple of years since I was a kid but never have I had it this bad. I broke out all over my chest and back. It's about to drive me crazy with the itching. We have had a lot of fungus in our yard this year (it about killed my roses). So I figured I picked it up from there when I was cutting them back and replacing the bark that was covered in fungus. Everything has fungus growing on it (including me!). I have never seen so many different kinds of mushrooms growing in one place before either. I hope you get rid of your Thrush soon, I know that isn't any fun.

THANKS,FOR ALL YOU SHARE AS I BELIEVE OUR IMMUNE SYSTEM DOES CAUSE CONCERN AND MEDICATIONS. I AM DISCUSSING NOW WHY AMPRYA ? OCREVUS CAUSES UTI! I ALREADY HAVE BOWEL BLADDER. I WILL CHECK WITH IMMUNE SPECIALISTS AND INFECTIOUS DISEASE DOCTORS. KEEP LEARNING AND SHARE. THANKS 🙏
