Big round of applause for my boss

So I have been done with relapse the last couple of weeks , this time it got my right side and I am having issues walking. I am technically signed off till the 08.02.18. I work from home so said to my boss I would do admin stuff this week and see how I go ? Which I think is a reasonable request.

To get an email to say I have to attend a team meeting in London tomorrow . 😡😡😡😡

I have seen the agenda half doesn’t relate to me . What a pointless journey , I swear he doesn’t believe me when I say I am having mobility issues!

So have booked a cab there and back , they want me there they can pay for it as no way I could cope with the tube.

Sorry I needed to rant 😡😡😡😡

Besides you have to get dressed up for work and all the hoopla 🥴. A lot of wasted time and money for them to have you come in, crazy...Ken 🐾🐾

Yep .. I said I would face time or skype as we have both for work.

It’s fine when I get worse all because of one day . I will remind him that I have many other suggestions and other options which means I didn’t physically have to go into London.

Man I will in a bad mood tomorrow!

Annabal82, So sorry you having this difficulty. I was lucky to have understanding bosses until our office moved into the Regional Office. Believe it or not, the Human Resource Director there told me I could no longer work 32 hours, as I had done for years and I would need to work 40 hours. Not too long after, I had a relapse, went on sick leave and eventually Social Security. Some people just do not get it! Good luck on your adventure!

Sue that’s terrible ! I had a boss like that when I had my first relapse . I was meant to do a phased return to work and he said I couldn’t . Thankfully one of the higher up managers got wind and over ruled him and informed him I was covered by the disability discrimination act 2010 . He sorted me to go occupational health etc so I was protected ! I have been lucky with company that is the first time I actually had to have off in 5 years .My line manager is not a great people person and shouldn’t be In his job . He is nice guy but not a good manager . Thankfully the only positive is that I am moving from his team and I get on with the lady who will become my line manager . xAx

You can’t take the tube in that condition, your not physically able to have to fight with everyone particularly if you have to go at peak times. If you are officially off sick, then show up for work, haven’t you broken your sick note leave? Stay home, Skype blessings Jimeka 🦋

I agree with Jimeka - not supposed to go in to work if signed off sick but lines have been blurred by you agreeing to work from home. It's a very tricky area - is there somewhere/someone you can consult for HR advice? MS nurse? MS Society helpline? Keep us updated and if you really have to go, try and take rests where you can! ☺

Hopefully your boss will be at this meeting and will see in person you struggling. That would shut him up... Good luck.

Hi all , so I went and as predicted it could of been done by FaceTime. My co workers were like “ why in God’s name are you here “ . Got a cab from my house there and back so had a little driven tour of London on way home . Lol lol lol
