To many people, this day brings sadness, possibly grief from losing a loved one (a mother or as a mother) or for some this day represents something they long for and cannot have. Others still may not have a good relationship with their mother or even have painful memories. My heart grieves for you. You are not forgotten. Wishing all of you a day of peace and comfort knowing that YOU are loved. Thank you for being part of this community and putting up with me as well.

Hay, that’s what is great about this group we enjoy each other with no judgment 👍. My mom passed away seven years ago and we had a wonderful relationship 😁. My wife just had a spat with her mom and are not talking 😣. Her mom doesn’t know how mean her comments are 😠. I have talked Jody into taking a plant over to her today🤷🏼‍♂️. Hope visit goes well, this has gone on for the forty years with these two 🤷🏼‍♂️. Enough of us, Happy Mothers Day 👩 to everyone 👍🙏😉🐾 Ken

Some people sure don't know how mean their comments can be and it is sad. Others, I swear, DO know and they don't care. It seems to bring them pleasure to be mean. We never know what's going on in their hearts that make them that way, though. I think when people are mean it can be cover up for a hurt we know nothing about. Who knows. I hope your wife's visit goes well and she is comforted in knowing that she tried. Wishing you both a peaceful day. 🌻✌

We took over an orchid and some dates 👍 Things went ok, not great but ok. Little bit uncomfortable 😣 so I played it safe and stayed pretty quiet 🤫. Sometimes better that way. Thanks for your concern 😉🙏🐾 Ken

Be grateful for small blessings. It is often wiser to say nothing. 🦋 🍫

Sometimes we have to love people from a distance.

Kill them with kindness, right? I always think “how can anyone reply with anything BUT kindness when you do that” But..... people never cease to amaze me!!

Agreed! My dad used to say exactly that. "Kill them with kindness." Ah, good memory. Thanks for making me smile.

Very Thoughtful of you to recognize that not everyone enjoys Mother's Day. I used to dislike St. Patrick's Day as it was the day that I had suffered a great personal loss. It changed for me when my daughter told me she was expecting her first child, my first grandchild. We all have times like that and thank goodness for this forum because there is always someone here for us 🧡🧡🧡🧡
