Found this today. My mother loved to knit and she made this many years ago. She’s been gone on to heaven since 2001 so this brought back some sweet memories for Christmas. She and my dad both loved Christmas. So mom if your watching down on me I love and miss you very much. Merry Christmas to you and daddy. See you soon.
PS my dad was also a baptist minister or back then we called them preachers. Haha.

greaterexp . She was an amazing woman. She loved me unconditionally even many times when I didn’t deserve it. She had one of several heart attacks at an early age so she did a lot of knitting in her day and even with the heart attacks and a couple of strokes she lived til age 79.
I so wish I still had the sweater my grandmother made for me. She outlived lived husbands, owned her own yarn shop for years, and was still driving her stick shift VW bug until almost 90. She married her last husband when she was 83! I marveled when watching her knit. She made patterns up as she went, but rarely watched her own hands. Both sets of grandparents passed along their faith, so I am truly blessed. I'm so glad you were blessed with the kind of mother you had! An amazing woman!
She was also a quilter.the neighborhood ladies would get together and quilt for days on end. Haha. Those truly were the days.. and faith was a way of life that we never questioned. We didn’t know there was a different way sounds like your grandmother was truly an amazing woman for sure. Married again at 83 is awesome. They don’t make them like that anymore.
Doubled51 what a treasure to find, what a present to receive at this time of year. Wonderful memories of a wonderful woman. Faith was passed down in my family, my great, greatgrandad was a Methodist preacher, part of the Wesley generation. My great Grammy as we called her, taught me to clean, as she always instilled in me that cleanliness was next to Godliness. With having ms I find it harder to keep up to her bestowed levels and it gets very frustrating, but I still have my faith. Thankyou for sharing Donnie, blessings Jimeka 🎄
jimeka . MS def makes cleaning harder and harder but like you i was taught as a child how important cleaning wasI had 1 brother who was 8 years older but it was taught early how sweeping and mopping was a mans job just as much as A woman’s. My Mom was a true believer in cleaning. As a pastors wife she never knew when company was coming so the house stayed clean all the time just in case.
I helped my wife clean yesterday getting ready for family today and in my usual manner I overdid things so I’m paying my ms taxes today.. haha.
But without faith none of it would be worth any of it Because without Jesus there would be no Christmas.
Awww how lovely good memories of your mum and dad. My mum loved to knit and crochet ....has been in Heaven since 2007 and my dad 2009. Miss them both very much xxx
