Oh I hope you don't live the the North East of USA because later on today the temperature is supposed to drop 30*f and it's supposed to get down right COLD. I REALLY WANT SPRING TO COME AND STAY.
After leaving our 20 farm, I thought our growing days were behind us. Hubby is building me 2 raised beds in our new little back yard today so we can have a little garden! There is something therapeutic about watching things grow.
Enjoy your garden, and please don't send the rabbits to us!
When I grew up my dad always had a garden π. The first ten years of marriage I had a garden and then became to busy and no time for garden π’. We have just purchased a new home with very little yard work, but it does have a five by twelve raised garden area π. I told my wife now that I am not working I think Iβll try gardening again ππ². Might be too late to plant much this year but I will have it ready for next year π. The new house does have two different flavors of apples π, bing cherries π, pear π tree and plums. That will keep me busy this fall π. Will probably need help π€·πΌββοΈ. Rabbits π wonβt bother the trees π€£ππ , but Robbins like cherries π Dang. π Wish everyone well on summer gardens πππΎ Ken
We have freezing rain today that started around midnight. The warning was supposed to end at noon and it was now expanded until 3 pm. Front steps are slippery that salt won't melt.
There is NOTHING better than fresh veggies out of the garden! I grew up on 10 acres & our garden had to be at least 1/2 acre. A carrot tastes so much better pulling it out of the ground, washing it with a hose and chomping away. Hard to buy fresh store veggies (not really).π ππ₯¦π₯πΆπ½π₯π₯π (there werenβt enough emojis for what we planted every year!). -Kris
