My husband's raised bed/barrels are doing good because those rascaly rabbits can't reach them!

Morlyn I just saw your raised beds and I showed my husband he likes the πŸ’‘ Idea it would save his back and the garden would be closer to the door.

Thanks for the tip.

Morllyn , sometimes we feel like we have a fortress in fences to keep the deer from devouring in a few minutes what it's taken us years to grow. Then there are the squirrels, foxes, skunks, raccoons...

We do not have deer or anything else (except bugs) that eat the plants but this year rabbits have taken out a lot. We are not allowed to shoot them until rabbit season and can only trap them with a trapping license. Not sure I want them dead and if you trap them where do you take them! πŸ€” You legally should not release them on someone elses property.😫

Even your container garden is pristinely kept! Are those veggies and herbs? They look quite healthy. Too bad for the πŸ‡!

Lettuce, and a volunteer cucumber vine I think (it was planted by the birds I guess) in the first one, onions and another volunteer cucumber in the second, orange, white and purple carrots (which are not ready yet) in the third and different colored radishes in the fourth. The radishes have flowered. The radish tops are delicious in a salad, they have a peppery taste.

They really take care of themselves WAshingtongirl , just a few little weeds to remove early on and watering. They are not really well suited for plants that need a lot of space between them and would need to be lowered for plants that are tall like tomatoes, obviously.

So when's lunch? That all sounds like the perfect makings for a yummy salad. πŸ₯—

That is exactly what I had for supper last night!

I made a salad with the lettuce (even found one clump of red leafy lettuce), onions, radish tops and asparagus, all from the garden. I had tomatoes and celery but they were store bought. Yummy!πŸ˜„πŸ₯—πŸ΄

How cool! Our garden is not going so well. Plants are still in pots from the store....πŸ€—

Oh! I've go to show my husband. I love having just a little garden to tend & nurture. It helps my mental support & helps me cook healthy.

Any suggestions on how to work on getting my legs up on the bed? Sometimes it’s just not possible without help.
