Spring is in full force so let's find a beautiful flowers that are popping up all around us and share them with each other. On your mark, get ready, go!
( These were prettier before yesterday's rain! They got kind of beat up but the colors are still glorious and many the flowers are still totally intact so I decided to share them regardless of the condition of a few of the plants!) Nature doesn't have to be perfect in order to be glorious! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Fancy.

Okay, flowers......now a days, the only flowers I really care about are the one's on my veggies growing in pots around the patio! And it's definitely too soon for those here. It was in the 30's the other day, and 40's today. I used to plant all kinds of flowers for flowers. Especially out West! Desert loving flowers are the best! I had a cubby in my yard that you couldn't really even walk into, the flowers had filled it so much, but the butterflies and humming birds filled the area, visible from inside the house!
I had a military Rambo type friend there, who gradually retired to truck driving, but took pride in his blue petunias completely covering his front yard fence!
Got pics, but those were the days of Kodachrome......and those are somewhere in the many boxes. That's a major project, locating pic's from 30 years ago?
Today, I do have 3 gorgeous crabapples, one of which is half crabapple and half apple, so the flowers are half white, and half red. The others, one pink, one white. Huge! And the Lilacs are blooming, as they always do, for Mother's day. But, I have no part in any of those. Wait!!!.....I have 2 huge Christmas Cactus that bloom every year for ...... Not Christmas .... But Thanksgiving! They do last to Christmas if lucky, but their prime first bloom every year is Thanksgiving. Again, multi-colors, both hues of purple.
Yes I can locate pics of all those.......but sorry, forgot how I uploaded pics......maybe tomorrow?
Thanks for sharing!! Same question as Falalalala - are those deep pink ones peonies? We had a freeze on Thurs so hope the lilac Bush will still bloom...it had buds in Jan when we had several days of 70° weather! Will post a pic when I get back home!
I have had so many moments that made my heart sing when flowers bloomed. All my Roses bloomed at once. I think a Lamb's ear with the biggest yellow floppy petals. Asiatic lilies. Azeleas lantana and plants I know not their names (yes even weeds that look like a botanical picture rendition) but they are happy and it makes my heart glad
Even Soloman was not clad as beautiful
......
Live in a condo but can plant with permission and being on landscape committee. Helps. Getting warm in texas. But will retreat when temps humidity goes up. Cooling vest ok. But late in day better.I tried to post off my phone's gallery, but it didnt work.
Plants thrive in the right spot. Not always the best conditions, but their life force strives to grow. Makes this old lady want to bloom even when MS wants to plant her on the couch.
To all the mothers, hope your day blessed today and everyday.
