Just came back today from Neurologista specialized in brain and neck lesions. He saw my MRI from end of 2016 and explained the new agravation symptoms. I only can sleep with neck collar to prevent shocks all over, spasm and pain permanent in my neck with more stifiness now that I did not have in the left side. In my throat is "growing " a ball from bone from spine pushing my throat. My MS doctor saw the picture I took from my MRI and got surprised that was not described in the MRI. I went to the same day to Gastroenterologist to schedule endoscopy to see if I have any lesion in my throat, intact , perfect tissue. Only today I could go back to my Neurologist specialist in brain, sport lesions , Professor of Florida University
I have to have cervical surgery soon, but now I am without health insurance. He wants I have my surgery in Miami.( My "lovely" husband cut on purpose due to Domestic Abuse). Now is time for I get informations for myself. Cervical degeneration related to MS are worse outcome than brain.

Yes, I will need to apply to Medicaid, not completed yet and do new MRI. I called MSAA and they can help help with the cost of new MRI. I have another medical issue in between.
Miriade Glad that MSAA will help with the cost of the new MRI. When my boyfriend moved to MI and applied for Medicaid he was approved right away and the insurance cards came rather soon. I hope that yours works that way as well.
Miriade surgery, I hope and pray that you can have it soon and that your surgeon is as good as mine was. After surgery, your talking and swallowing maybe affected, mine only lasted a couple of weeks. Take care and keep us posted, blessings Jimeka
Miriade Holy smokes, Miriade! I don't know what to say. ๐ฅ Such a compounded problem. I'm astounded the MRI report didn't make note of it. Had to comment on that piece at least! Wishing you a speedy, safe, and effective surgery to resolve this. I said a prayer that you will get some relief. Please keep us posted when you can on your progress. Thanks.
Hi, thank you for your comments. Its true, the MRI report did not mentioned anything about my neck huge problem. When the Gastroenterologist ask the MRI center to send again their report is completely missing any information about my neck specific lesion, even with neck MRI report. My MS doctor got also very worry when he saw the photo I took download the MRI disk to my computer. The endoscopy was set up the week after because all pills getting stuck because they are light weight and even night time sometimes I get choking with my own salive not going down. I bought different styles of neck collar for sleep and bought a special infra-red electrical pillow to release the spasms in my new side, the left that I did not have stifiness. Now I have symptoms of all cervical pinched from C2 to C7 and electrical shocks if I do not use the neck collar and proper position to sleep. The Neurologist specialized in brain and neck trauma saw my MRI and show to me in detail many sectional what is going on in my neck. This weekend I was down with myself, but tomorrow I have to make contact with other doctors and Medicaid, etc. Big messy. One entire cervical bone is degenerated, black all over, with bulb going out to the back. I dont think is going to be a simple surgery and I am afraid of loosing voice and the worse. I will have more details soon after being accepted to Medicaid and he will direct me to doctor in Miami Hospital where he recommended me to go.
Miriade I'm still amazed by the epic fail by radiology. I am surprised that you can sleep at all. You must be very good at positioning the neck collar just-so to achieve that. How difficult and worrisome it must all be for you. It sounds as though the neurology trauma specialist is a good find. That's one bright spot? I don't quite follow how the cervical degeneration is related to MS, but its not necessary that I know.
Wishing you godspeed in finding the right surgeon and getting this taken care of!
Its going to take a while go be approved to Medicaid. I need to make more call to get help. My bone got black, entirely, not mentioned by the Radiologist neither the protusion to the throat and a fissure in the back tissue.
