Found this pic of me and fellow worker at a brokerage luncheon when I was working as Stock Trader for a Trust Company in St Louis Mo Just who I was 17 years ago before MS stole all that life. Loved my job! Loved working, even after taking disability and just 6 yrs ago working 3 hours a day at a day care center. How I love bestowing love and care upon unloved children. But, that was stolen by MS also. Now I can barely prepare 3 dinners a week for my husband, making plenty of leftovers for him. Even that brings on horrific back spasms. But as Habakkuk wrote in his book, after listing his dire conditions, "Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation"

agapepilgrim at least it hasn't robbed your mind and your heart. Let's hope and pray that our children don't have to go through what we have. Big hug, 🤗 🌈 🦋 💐 Blessings Jimeka

agapepilgrim weeping endures for the night but joy comes in the morning. For us with faith morning will come and we won't have to endure any more pain and suffering. God bless you my friend.

agapepilgrim , MS can and does rob us of much-often those things we use to identify ourselves. I am sorry. So very sorry. It is good that you look for strength and joy in things that won't be taken away or rust or fade. You are still a beautiful and needed and loved person, despite what MS has taken from you. 💕

agapepilgrim , I'm sorry for the pain you feel with the losses you've felt. But Tutu nailed it. You have so much to offer beyond your physical abilities or disabilities. The person God created in you is a lovely, gifted person.

I pray we all can try to always see beyond our losses to the gifts we have that can't be taken away. I pray God gives you many moments of true joy every day.

Thank you for posting and reminding me of my many joys.

You still have the same beautiful smile, twinkle in your eye, and great attitude. Most importantly your faith in our Lord.

@agapepilgrim

It’s all so true, what I’ve read in others’ replies.

As much as I wouldn’t wish MS on anyone, it can have a purifying process. I imagine you are even more beautiful than you were then, which was quite beautiful!! 😊

Thank you for sharing your many gifts with us.

There are so many true MS warriors here and I am amazed at the generosity of spirit. So many hard-fought battles and the priceless wisdom that comes from them. It is a network of one wounded, yet triumphant, soul after another, reaching out to help others along the way. Inspirational! Whoever said “together we are stronger” was exactly right. 😀
