Yesterday, I was driving on a busy highway, when all of a sudden I felt a horrible stinging pain in my right big toe. It felt as though my toe was being stung by multiple bees. I actually slowed down to make sure It wasn't. I get the same feeling in my hand, especially the right thumb. I was checked for carpal tunnel last week b/c I've been getting that feeling at night a lot. Doc who did the test said all the stabbing pain is coming from the lesions at C1 & 2. I've never had that atrocious pain in my toe before (and while driving made it worse.) If I had been walking, I think I would have fallen. Has anyone else experienced that very sudden intense pain before? Anything help it? Thanx

Ouch!
Hi. So weird that I came across this, because this just happened to me the other day! I was a passenger in the car, thank God. But yeah...felt like a bee sting over and over on top of my right toe! That really hurts. I just kept rubbing it until it finally went away. I have 4 lesions in my brain and one at t8-9 in my spine. Ugh. 😐
Juleigh21 , I'm sad to hear you had such a nasty symptom. I hope it's the last time you feel it.
Years ago I had intense pain in my one big toe. It would wake me up at night...and I often woke my husband up, moaning in my sleep. It happened off and on for a couple of months...and then never again. That was a deep, intense pain, and started about one year into my introduction to MS. More recently, I've experienced stinging pain of my skin/surface-mostly my arms. It's like stinging rain or fire ants. My neuro said it was MS related. But with my recent Lupus diagnosis, that's now questionable. Mine seems to escalate with sun exposure. 😜
Some of these symptoms seem bizarre but they aren't.nothing suprises me much anymore, but it surely will!.Now trying to decide if its the MS or heart or well the list can go on.I hope the feeling goes away, pain is more than not. When I don't have pain, I sit for a minute and am so thankful for just being in that moment. All feel better I pray and hope....
Juleigh21 ive had something similar in my foot/ankle. Very sharp, intense but brief pain that caused me to yell out and stop in my tracks. It happened twice when walking so I figured that t was musculoskeletal but then it occurred while sitting still. So I wondered if it was MS.
I attribute everything weird to MS😜
Juleigh21 yes! I though I was imagining it! Or it was chiggers I couldn't see. I have terrible stenosis and spondylitis at C2-C5, and possible 2 lesions, not clear. But I get the "bee sting" feeling in my legs and feet. Didn't think about it being MS. Should have known! I have so many weird symptoms I don't even tell my neurologist unless matter of hospitalization or not, or like now, a terrible blistery, very itching shingles looking rash that culture says not herpes or viral. I think it is Capoxone but he says can't be. Dermatologist took a biopsy of one (ouch) now waiting for results. I have about 50 scattered over torso and limbs. Steroid cream dries them up, but new ones pop up. Since 5/24! MS is a mysterious, treacherous disease! Like walking in ice we never know what our next step will bring. Thanks for posting about your stinging - I thought I was going mental! Steroid cream helps
