Is it possible to get run over by a truck in your sleep?

It's been over two years since I've had a relapse. I'm in my 2nd year on Ocrevus and all has been great until this week. I started having pinpoint pains in my head, which in the past is usually followed by a relapse. I had the pain in two different places this time. It took about four days after the pain started that I relapsed. I woke up yesterday feeling pretty sure I was run over by a truck during the night. All of my joints were hurting, my legs from the knees down to my toes were "buzzing", my left calf felt as if it was going to start cramping with every step I took. My face on the left side was twitching and was also numb. My right leg didn't really want to work right at all and my lack of balance was even more unbalanced. And of course no energy at all. I also had trouble comprehending what was being said. I had to have my husband say things twice before I could understand what he was saying. So I stayed in bed most of the day. I was really bummed. I'm much better today but my feet are still buzzing and my face is still numb, I'm still having some trouble comprehending what people say. It's kind of hard to watch TV and know what is actually being said, it sounds like they are speaking a weird coded language. I had the comprehension thing happen to me about 26 years ago and at the time I thought it was the Zoloft that I was on for depression, maybe it wasn't the Zoloft after all. The weird thing for me is I didn't do anything to bring on a relapse, like overdoing or overheating. I have been so careful about that for the past few years. It has been in the high 90's here during the day and I only go out in the mornings to do yard work etc. and come in when it starts getting warm. So I'm not sure what started it this time and hopefully in another day or so all the symptoms will be gone. I am very thankful that it's not lasting very long. I'm reminded once again that "Every day is a new adventure in the world of MS."

I think it’s fair to say that every hour is a new adventure in the world of ms. One minute you are fine, without warning a new symptom appears, often bringing a bit of depression with it. There’s never a dull moment with ms. I hope that you recover and bounce back soon. Are you due another Ocrevus infusion? Blessings Jimeka 🤗

I just had one at the end of April. That's why it threw me into depression mode for awhile.

Oh, dear. I'm sorry about this. I hope you have let your neurologist know about this. As the others have responded, it may mean you need your infusion a little earlier., but either way, your neurologist should know.

I hope you feel much better quickly.

Yes, my neuro is out of the office this week but will call first thing next week to let her know. I just had my infusion at the end of April so it is way too soon. We ended up going an extra month due to COVID-19. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.

I'm fairly sure I have been hit buy a truck or possibly a bus several times during my adventures with MS, and it mostly happens at night while sleeping.

I guess we need to put our flashers on when we go to sleep to keep from being run over! :-)
