So the first appointment my neuro has available is August 10. That is the first time I can get in to see him to discuss ocrevus and begin whatever needs to be done before infusion. Stinks I have to wait sooooo long to even get that done!! Guess i'l be sticking with Tecfidera for longer than I had hoped.
long wait!: So the first appointment my... - My MSAA Community
long wait!
msjem So sorry you have to wait so long. It's just crazy how long the waits are to see some neuros.
I'm sorry about the wait, but hope it works well for you once you can begin.
msjem ...wow! that is a really long wait! Can they put you on a list so if someone cancels their appointment you could get in sooner??
Be thankful you have a current and don't fret the wait... Maybe it is karma... It's a new treatment and maybe some bugz need to be worked out before you begin... Waiting is difficult but until August is not so bad!!! Way back in 1994 I waited for 6 months in a "lottery" to receive BetaSeron. Be grateful that so many options are now available... Pray that the song hold true, "The waiting is the hardest part!"

I lucked out had my appointment scheduled for yesterday, approval of Ocrevus came before my appointment. Paperwork has begun hoping to start 1st week of June when my next Rituxan dose will be do.
Hello msjem! I finally got to see my neuro yesterday and the first thing she brought up was the ocrevus. I had to do blood work first to make sure I don't have hepatitis and to check for jcv. I filled out the paperwork for it and now it's a waiting game to see if my insurance will cover it. She told me that I have to wait 5 weeks after my last Tysabri infusion, which was 2 days ago. And I need another MRI done. Grrrr! I hate waiting! Once I get everything approved, I will let you all know
