Hello I'm new just wondering if anyone has dealt with blurred vision and floater in the eyes.

Trouble with right eye
Mebp49 I have experienced these symptoms and was diagnosed with macular degeneration, along with a condition called uveitis. This can cause me to see flashes of white light out of the corners of my eyes. Since September of 2015 my vision has changed 4 times. Are you in pain? Have you let your doctor know? Optic Neuritis which is a symptom of MS, causes inflammation on the optic nerves, can lead to your symptoms along with pain and I think headaches.
Floaters in the eyes also come with age. I have had some floaters over the years. For a long time. Several years ago I had this floater that was kind of large but in time it finally went away. I have some light smaller ones now but I don't notice them much unless I purpoasely look at something light like the ceiling. I don't think they have gotten worse since I found out I had MS. I get a little blurry vision at night when I have been on my computer all day long, but I think it is mostly eyestrain.
Hi Mebp49 welcome to our wonderful chat. Sorry it's for this monster they call MS.
You should get ahold of your neuro and see what he says. I had optic neuritis twice. It wasn't fun. It consisted of, seeing cross eyed, headache, lights flashing like (hard to explain). It also made my vertigo worse.
So please get ahold of your Neuro and see what he says

Thank you. My neurology had already schedule an MRI . If had optic neuritis once so I'm sure it's a repeat I just wasn't sure about the floater until I read itasara reply.
Yes to both. Floaters are not considered dangerous or as a symptom of MS. Double vision is a symptom of MS. You may need to see Optomologist that treats MS. They have prizm lenses that may help some. (In my case they did not)
I wore the prism glasses for awhile (after a head injury) years ago - they were glass, very thick and heavy, but they worked. I could not even look in the mirror without seeing double! Haahaa-scared me-seeing 2 of me! I still have one eye that does not sense light like it should-got used to that after awhile. I do get double vision even now, but mostly when I am over tired. Eye Dr. gave me some lubricating drops for the dry eye-I only use them when it gets annoying. I was not aware that the double vision is a symptom of MS too. My medical team was blaming it on the head injury....(as they wee many of my other symptoms)but my neuro is convinced that I have had MS for a long time.
heathera1 l had no idea either, so l ignored it. I just figured it would go away. Kinda like everything else, just comes and goes. It wasn't until l had gone to my support group, and they all got on my case about not calling my neuro. Lol l didn't know ~shrugs~. Thats when they stressed to me, that my body is no longer mine. It belongs to the Monster, and l better pay attention. It's amazing what havoc MS can cause.
A posterior vitreal detachment will cause a large floater as it separates from the optic nerve.
The vitreous (jello) shrinks and liquifies with age and is more common in nearsighted patients.
A retinal tear must be ruled out.
Our brain does learn to ignore it after 2-3 months but a different light stimulus will trigger us seeing the floater.(moving from a dark room to a bright one.)
I've never dealt with blurry vision, but I've had floaters off and on my entire life. The eye doctor explained to me that they are clumps of the fibers that are part of the fluid in our eyeballs. He also said that they tend to increase as we age. I've heard that they're MS-related, but I don't know if there's any truth to it.
They can definitely be distracting or annoying.
Mebp49,it's Fancy1959 wishing you a warm, if belated welcome to this amazing chat room! Yes, i have had floaters in both my eyes. I never had blurred vision buti did have double vision in both eyes. Both times it happened, my neurologist put me on steroids and they cleared it up quickly. I'm on Tysabri currently and I've had no problewems with my eyes for a couple years now. Unfortunately I do have a cataract growing on one of my eyes. Both of my parents had cataracts removed. So I would assume I will probably have the same thing done. It's a matter of when not if.
