Since my dx I have been having severe eye pain/soreness. It’s only my right eye and usually most days it’s just a little soreness when I move the eye. Today it was has been so bad that the pain runs from my eye to the back of my neck. It causes my head to feel very heavy and when I cough it feels like my head is going to burst. I’ve never been dx with optic neuritis so I’m wondering if anyone has ever experienced the same symptoms?

Severe eye pain
You need to see a doctor as soon as possible, because it sounds as though your condition is getting worse. It needs checking out, if you can’t see your doctor, go to the ER and let someone there look at your eye. Please let us know how you get on, blessings Jimeka 🦋
I haven't experienced this but I agree with Jimeka, you should see/tell your Neurologist or Doctor about this. ❤🌷
I’m with everyone else you need to see your eye doctor if you don’t think you’re not going to find out from them go directly to the ER.
This was the initial onset of MS for me! I have MS lesions behind my right eye 👁. Better get to doctor asap and have it checked out! Ken 🐾🐾
Eveliz I agree with everyone here, I hope you have called your dr or neuro to let them know what is going on. If not, please go to the ER, that is nothing to mess around with. I haven't experienced the pain but had blurred vision that led to all my testing and eventually a dx of MS. Please keep us updated.

Eveliz I am sorry about the eye pain. Do see your doctor or (at the very least) an ophthalmologist. Many years before I was diagnosed with MS, I was diagnosed at a teaching university eye clinic with optic neuritis. Since then (1989) I have experienced eye pain intermittently. It comes and goes, often worse in hot weather or after I forget my dark glasses in a setting with too much glare. None of the doctors I have asked about it have an answer. Each time I have asked, they have looked at me as if I were a whiner or chronic complainer, so I have stopped asking. It's my guess it's probably eye strain. related to the damage on the optic nerve, but it can be painful to move my eyes (look up, down, etc.), and difficult to do any task requiring me to focus. Sometimes, a cold compress and a lie down helps. So in my case, it seems to be another of those weird MS manifestations. In your case, get it checked out for your peace of mind.
I want to let you know my one of the first signs of MS was my right eye 👁 I went blind it was kind of like a cats eye how there pupil is up an down that’s where I was blind. I went to one eye doctor he had no clue he took so many blood test. But after 4 years when I diagnosed my own MS I went to another eye doctor so that decided not to let him know that I had MS. He examined my eyes and with in 10 minutes he asked me if I had MS and I looked at him and said I said I wish I known you in 2001 he looked at me and said why and I replied what I had gone through and he just couldn’t believe it that a doctor couldn’t have seen that.
I just thought of something and that is don’t go to doctors that some people don’t have a clue to what is going on I have to be my own advocate
