So in 2011 I started getting weird scabs on my face with stretchy plugs underneath once removed the spot would typically close and more would appear in or near the same area. I have read many posts about morgellons and auto immune diseases that could cause this but the problem for me was never identified so I started self experiments ....tea tree oil burned and helped but did not eliminate the problem my face had sores that looked like cigarette burns ( never drink or use drugs) so in 2017 I tried the miracle hibiclense...finally ..relief . If you are suffering a similar condition this 10 dollar hibiclense is a life saver I applied at night like a lotion in 2 weeks my face was completely healed and now 2024 have not had any other skin problems hope this helps someone
Weird plugs under scabs: So in 2011 I started... - MY SKIN
Weird plugs under scabs
thank you for sharing this. So you just apply it like lotion and leave it on?
Yes I did that and it worked for me no more weird alien scabs
The roller coaster begins when there's skin damage (accidently scratched, etc) - then these plugs develop within the follicles under the scab. The frenzy itching begins and getting the plugs out provides the relief needed. The vicious cycle continues for a long time.
I've just done another batch of blood work - getting results 5 June and on the same day having a biopsy.
My personal research has led me to believe that it is fibrins (protein). There's a specific bacteria (staph aureus) that actually uses the plugs to hide behind - to avoid the immune system from identifying that there is a threat to kill.
I'll look up hibiclense.
Thank you.
Please keep us updated. As I am in mid stream of labs and such as well. So far I've experienced all the negativity from doctors over it. Finally found one that listened and looked at past labs and acknowledged something was being missed. So far lab results confirm autoimmune disease, unsure which, does seem it's lupus. I've had lyme before with treatment. Waiting on labs for that to see if i have somehow been reinfected. This stuff is a nightmare. I want my life back.
So I received my lab results back. I compared my 2022 results with this June 2024 report - there's nothing that stands out as vastly different... albeit the tests indicate
High potassium. Wasn't tested in 2022.
High red blood cell count. Was not high in 2022.
Low MCHC. Was low in 2022.
(The doctor was underwhelmed by the things that were noted as high readings-I think that he read through the results way too fast.)
Inflammation was at 1 in 2022; it is 4 this time - which is really weird - in 2022 I had the blood taken while enduring the aftermath of a ruptured lymph node in my pelvic/ abdominal area - by all rights, that's when inflammation should have been sky high - I was in severe pain which pushed me to feel faint often and I did properly faint the once when I didn't get off my feet in time - I'd never fainted in my life before - I was 41 then - so one can imagine the level of inflammation and pain that I was experiencing- yet the blood test said that I was at a 1 - that's almost zero inflammation. So that inconsistency makes me question the reliability of how they conclude results... I'm still baffled by that result.
And my cholesterol levels are just under what is considered high. That was not tested in 2022.
The doctor considers me as healthy as a horse - he tested just about everything. He did not test parasites and bacteria as I had asked him to - this is second doctor that just did not listen to me...
I was supposed to go for a skin biopsy, but it's risky expecting me to surround myself with contagious illnesses - my pelvic lymph node becomes very painful- severe inflammation - when my body has to fight germs. It feels as though it could rupture with one wrong move. This lasts for about 3 days.
It's a government day hospital... I want to pull my hair out with their terrible system and lack of action. It would be a dream come true to go in and upgrade their operations.
I'll go and do it next week.
The doctor also sent photos of my wounds and provided his description to a dermatology department that is located elsewhere... he wanted their opinion before cutting into me - WE ALL KNOW that where he damages skin, I'm going to have the wound for a long time - the cycle will begin... an itchy response after a few days, and I'll have to scratch the scab off to get that relief... which will really start up the plugs in the follicles that will need to be ripped out regularly to gain relief from the frenzy itching that occurs when scabbed up. I suspect that the sudden itchiness, the burning itch that can occur at times too, is simply a response to the bacteria that releases its excretions - it's toxic - so it creates a skin reaction.
Healermommy (OP) mentioned Hibiclens... I went to the pharmacist last night... during a terrible itching frenzy. I'm in South Africa, so I don't think we have that brand - but Hibiclens' active ingredient is chlorhexidine gluconate.... she's ordered something equivalent.
I told her that I suspect a Steph Aureus infection - since this bacteria uses those protein plugs to hide from our immune system... they actually use our body's natural healing process for their survival... the interference / toxins keeps the skin in a state of inflammation and repeats the plug stage - which is exactly where the bacteria hides from our immune systems. I'm thinking that bacteria is another level of genius - the way that they understand that they need to find solutions that will ensure that their descendents will continue for as long as possible.. they know that they best mutate when a script of antibiotics almost wiped them out for good.
The pharmacist said that the only way to get rid of this bacteria is antibiotics - over two weeks or something... take a break... start more antibiotics... I'm dead against antibiotics. What a nightmare... so I'll the skin bacteria, but damage the good bacteria in my gut, and kick start recurring thrush problems again...
Antibiotics is the worst medicine - one doesn't realise that it had killed the guts good bacteria along with bad... but it leaves behind the antibiotic resistant bacteria... they multiply and grow rapidly - there's no good bacteria policing them and keeping their numbers down... the bad bacteria overgrowth damages the gut lining... from there, these things will penetrate through the lining and enter your bloodstream... then it's party time... then it's your organs... they damage the healthy cells and proteins.. cells replicate all the time... the damaged cells replicate themselves... the new replicas are equally damaged and unable to execute their function properly..... In time, the body will not have many healthy functioning cells... since the bacteria continues damaging the healthy cells, who will replicate themselves as they are: damaged.
Eventually, and this process can take years before the body is riddled with unhealthy dysfunctional cells.. that's the time that we don't feel well and go to the doctor and receive diagnosis' such as autoimmune diseases (diabetes, lupus, ALS, etc), cardiovascular issues, dementia, cancer, etc... and because we took that antibiotic prescription such a long time ago, we do not connect that that script allowed bad bacteria to run rampant... and over time they had the freedom to destroy what was healthy and invade organs and even the brain (dementia)... leaving us in chronic illness.
They're just beginning to acknowledge that bacteria/ parasites/ fungi/ amoebas / etc. are on the most part responsible for our illnesses/ diseases...
I'm going to try get my hands on RIFE RESONANCE THERAPY... many people swear that they reversed health issues - like cancer.
Ozone therapy in conjuction with resonance therapy sounds like the power couple.
Getting the right minerals in your system will promote healthy cell function - which you can get from a pinch of hand harvested sea salt - like celtic sea salt. I've used sea salt since December- it definitely made a noticeable change in moderating lymph node inflammation, my energy levels went up for the first time in ages... about 3 weeks in I started noticing the changes - and I also increased water intake - I never used to drink water... the mineral with water provide the correct hydration - without magnesium, it does not matter how much water you drink, your cells just cannot absorb sufficient water - lack of sufficient hydration creates a whole set of other issues - like memory issues.
Oh my gawd, I've written an encyclopedia- ciao for now. I'll update when I have something to share.
We'll beat this.
Wow, yes you did give alot of info. Thank you! I have high fibrin in my blood work. High MCV , low liver function, etc. I've been using celtic salt for a year now. Yes some things felt better, while others seemingly are progressing. I've had double pnemonia and ended up on alot of antibiotics. I avoid steroids because of lyme. Last time I took them they set me on fire. Antibiotics played a huge part in this and I know it. I've refused anymore antibiotics and/or steroids. I've gone on a celiac diet because I was diagnosed with that. But that's been a bit. I did see that gluten irritated the skin and wondered if it was the issue. Unfortunately, the celiac rash does NOT have the same characteristics. So therefore, I don't believe it's from celiac. I got the whole dermatologist expression and told him our conversation was over. Meanwhile, my female doctor that brought him in, was reluctant because she knew how I felt. She apologized for his remarks. Then another doctor just typed away as she listened and offered no explanation and said that it was in fact celiac. I asked why it's still there after being gluten free for so long. Nothing but crickets at that point. 18 or more months for a wound/lesion to heal is ridiculous. They are quick to shove depression meds, which has zero outcome towards it. I'm not depressed, I'm angry that Noone seems to understand what the crap is happening, but yet they want 300 for a doctors appointment. For now, I'm left to find a rheumatologist because they said that's who could help. And I call BS. Inflammation is low, rheumatoid factor is low, ANA high positive. Vitamin deficiency that is so low, they are below severe level of 20 and are at 8. B12, D, Folic, iron.......all of them. Researching bloodwork results and worried they are missing cancer, only because of all the low results and the weight loss. Which Noone else seems to have. So mine may not even be the same as yours. I don't have the red, blue and white fibers, just plugs . When I researched high fibrin in blood.....that.....just research it, and read. See what you think. And let me know. I'm curious. I feel this is possibly something to do with the situation.
Thank you for replying. Also. I mixed tea tree with A&D ointment and I've had alot of luck with it. Try it. You should always mix an oil with a carrier for best results. If you did not mix it with anything, try what I mentioned. See if it helps. I apply it twice a day. It's kept the skin from drying out and creating the bad itch. Careful with level of oils, because they can be toxic. And we don't need a toxicity issue on top of this. Sending you good vibes for healing and love and light. Take care and look forward to hearing more and sharing what we find. SO OVER THIS CRAP!!!!
So I'm curious have you ever had an ELSA test for leishmanias only asking because my ex was also deployed to Africa at one time and although it us rare they di have a cure for that now. I will read about the thing you have listed as well low liver function hmm I was diagnosed with Hellp syndrome during my pregnancy in 2011 so many wheels turning in my head as I also had liver issues at that time 😳
I don't know about you, but I don't see all my reply messages.... 2 months ago you wrote this and it is so useful.... the fibrins. I'm glued to that the plugs are fibrins...
I did a quick ChatGPT search asking why one would produce excessive fibrins in the blood stream:
Excessive fibrin production in the bloodstream can occur for several reasons, typically related to the body’s response to injury or abnormal clotting activity. Fibrin is a protein involved in blood clotting, and its overproduction can indicate underlying health issues. Some causes of excessive fibrin production include:
1. **Chronic Inflammation**: Inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease can stimulate excessive clot formation.
2. **Infections**: Bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections can trigger the coagulation cascade, leading to excess fibrin in the bloodstream.
3. **Hypercoagulable States**: Conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), or disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) can lead to abnormal clot formation and increased fibrin levels.
4. **Cancer**: Certain cancers, especially those affecting the blood or lymphatic system, may increase clotting tendencies and fibrin production.
5. **Liver Disease**: The liver plays a role in producing and clearing clotting factors. Liver dysfunction can result in imbalances in these factors, causing excess fibrin production.
6. **Autoimmune Disorders**: Some autoimmune diseases like lupus can cause the immune system to attack normal cells, which can trigger excess clotting.
7. **Obesity**: Excess body weight, especially around the abdomen, can increase the risk of clotting disorders and fibrin overproduction.
If excessive fibrin is present, it can lead to conditions like thrombosis (clot formation), which may result in complications such as stroke, heart attack, or pulmonary embolism. A healthcare provider may perform tests to determine the underlying cause and prescribe treatments like anticoagulants if necessary.
My instinct says that it is bacteria parasites and so forth.
I feel that it is this due to my blood results coming back fairly good for someone that feels like shit mostly. Lol.
I'm trying to find topical ivermectin.
So the ivermectrin paste at the farm store is what I used topically I got apple flavor. You must be careful it is very potent and could be toxic if you overdose it I think it was by weight I literally used a pea size amount but I stand firm this medicine is one of a kind and $6 at farm supply
I've not seen any other replies from you. I am scheduled for a biopsy this coming Monday. I have to take one for the team because now, my twin has what appears to be the same issue, in the same spot, on the same arm. His just started and I've been dealing with this for 2 years now. We are both trying to tackle it at once for a diagnosis. And since we are seen in the same office, but different doctors, we are hoping to be able to get something identified. His just starting is a perfect biopsy time. Now we hope the doctors will feel the same about this.
I will say this. I got so frustrated with the draining and sticking of my clothes all the time, which caused the shirt to peel any scab that was forming. I resorted to a FUNGAL POWDER. And that. That was a game changer. It started drying up. But then. Yes, there's a but....then the scabs got painful. They had to go. So I'd put the teatree and a&d back on it. Have had only a few of the fibrin like pieces since. Mostly they have stopped. But the itch is still very strong and painful. Now, it's just constantly draining. It's gross. It's frustrating. I hope to have answers. But we all know that's a guess as to when.
As for the info you shared, I was already reading up on the rheumatologist part . I do have alot of arthritis in my hands, feet and hip. I just still wonder how a rash that's not on a joint could be rheumatoid related. Especially when, and this is something I did forget to mention, the first spots of this were all on lymph node areas. My doctor knows this too. Hasn't seemed to make a difference.
I will let you know about the biopsy. My bacteria blood work was negative. So there is that. Literally at the 2 year mark and no answers. I have theories, just no confirmation of said theories.
Hope this helps someone. Hope you are making head way with this mess. Take care and once again sending healing vibes and love and light!
You know I was married when I first got this and my now ex husband had been deployed to Iraq so I was convinced I had some third world disease that couldn't be diagnosed here. I was so desperate to stop it I covered myself in lice shampoo, didn't help) I tried pure tee trea oil didn't help and stunk up our house . I sat all day picking them out and scarred myself up do bad . At one point I went to a doctor and they treated me like a drug addict (no drugs or alcohol in my system. Also I'm quite chunky.. I became on a mission to kill it I don't claim to know anything about it because I still don't know what I had but I don't suffer from it anymore I used lysol spray on my face I know it's dangerous but I was so desperate the hibiclense seemed to turn the plugs hard and easier to grab out. I would love to know what it was but don't know that I ever will but I haven't even had a pimple in 2 years I use acne spot dots if I get even the slightest bump and I leave it on for days thank you for all your information I know one day everyone will beat this and be able to live normal lives without feeling Ashamed to go in public ♥
So how often did you use lysol on your face?
I usual would spray it on my fingertips and just hold it onto a spot the pimple patches with no micro needles are good too they speed up wound healing and smother mites demodex can get in your ears and nose and once they are over populated they are like a little devil army the hibiclense as a lotion at night is likely the safer way to go I was honestly at a point where I didn't care about conciquences of my health because it was taking over my day to day life. I at one point thought it was mold poision or that my ex was poisoning me it's really hard on your mind as well as your skin
DEMODEX MITES!!!
I know EXACTLY what ALL of you are experiencing. I've been dealing with the same problem for 5 years. I've done so much research trying to find a diagnosis because my PCP and Dermatologist think I'm just a skin picker. I've stopped seeking answers from the "educated" medical world. I searched through different forums usings different key words to find what I am looking for....
I've tried MANY products to battle these demons on my face.
I was going insane with the extreme itching and at times VERY painful attacks. I was tired of spending hours with the same routine of pulling out the plugs and bleeding profusely until I got all of it out. It did amaze me how once all the plugs were removed the sore healed up.
I was tired of hiding my face and staying isolated. I have not went to any social event in over 3 years. I was tired of people looking at me thinking I was on drugs or I was a skin picker. No one would believe that I HAD to pick at these sites to feel any type of relief and to heal the wound.
I have let the wounds close up and it became painful to the touch and the skin stayed shiny over the wound.
I HAD to extract the plugs or live in pain. Now I have found the answer
DEMODEX MITES
I'm not going to say all the treatments I tried and have failed. The important message is what I tried and succeeded with to finally eradicate the monsters under my skin.
I mixed a few drops of tea tree essential oil with 10ml of witch hazel to clean my face. Then I put on Ivermectin cream. It was uncomfortable pain wise but tolerable BECAUSE I could see the mites crawling out of the skin. I left the cream on for 5 minutes. Then I washed my face with Hibicleanse. I am happy to say that after the first "Treatment" my face had healed 50% . It gets better after each treatment..
I discovered the infestation of the Demodex after reading someone's story on a forum.
I found that my blood work was bad. I was severely low on iron and other vitamins and nutrients. Therefore I had a compromised immune system that was allowing the mites to have a feast with my face being the buffet. I had a severe infestation of Demodex mites.
I've been taking supplements and OMG!! I feel like a new person.
The infestation is almost gone.
I hope this message helps at least one person.
Good luck 🤞
Was the cream Soolantra, rx? Or did you use the stuff from farm animal store?
This was first closeup that allowed me to see something resembling a black winding ribbon in some photos. I don't have any dark hair on my arms and hair follicles have ridges...this was a flat black ribbon. There was no movement detected to indicate these are parasitic. There is no resemblance to fungal infection. Nor have any of these wounds become infected or presented any signs or indication of infection.
I do however suspect that it can be spread from one wound to another through scratching with fingernails.
I hope my observations and photos are useful for others.
Hibiclense has not worked for me.
I see someone else used ivermectin and overnight these dead parasites were under her skin creating bumps. She had to remove them one by one.
Retinol is stronger and would probably help you the pimple dots with tea tree will trap them and draw the gunk out
