Underarm Rash

I've had a recurring rash in my armpits for at least 2 years. It itches and ranges from mildly red to small bumps to hives. I have seen the dermatologist and tried Tacrolimus, Triamcinolone Acetonide, Serniv, 2% Hydrocortisone, and Muciprocin. Some help a minor amount but it always comes back. Has anyone dealt with similar and found relief? Any thoughts are much appreciated!

Just wondering if anyone has tried to find the cause rather than treat the symptoms? I know that's the standard derma approach, try everything to see what works rather than seek the trigger. I guess almost standard advice applies, keep clean and as dry as possible, and lightly moisturise with scent-free emollient after washing. Hope you get some more responses.

Hi,

Any chance it’s insulin resistance?

Dear Norman,

I have a Simple and, quite possibly, effective 'suggestion' for you..... Have you tried Changing you Deoderant, or Body Spray? One I USED to use, a Well Know one too, used to Iritate My Underarms Like CRAZY! If not these then Shower Gel, Shampoo, Moiturizer or Talc.... not forgetting any Body Sprays you use.....

Another possibility, especially if your Condition has been Long Lasting, is Diet- you could be Allergic to a Foodstuff. Try an elimination Diet.....Dairy, Gluten (bread, pasta and so forth) maybe even certain fruits. Trial and error YES but Imagine IF you 'found' the cause (Bananas, Oranges or Pineapples, for example.) This may sound 'Daft' but it Really Can Work, for some people.... maybe Better than endless Chemicals🤢.

Give it a 'Try' Norman, you have Nothing To Loose and maybe Much To Gain. Good Luck, my friend.

I have tried many different deodorants including none for a time. I've also tried an elimination diet twice (no sugar, corn, wheat, dairy, soy, nightshades, citrus, bananas, and other high sugar fruits), and while I felt great after had no lasting results/clear cause but am arranging to see an allergist. Many thanks for your input!
