Red itchy skin condition

I'm 16 and I've had this problem on my arms for a while now but this is first time this critical. Sometimes i have it on my face too. It's really itchy. I might already know what it is but i dont know how to treat it. Pls help

Is it a bit warm to the touch? If yes, the reason behind critical might be infection? It was the last thing I thought of till I turned up at GP last week, she diagnosed infection and I left with a week's course of antibiotics to take 4 x daily for a week, along with dermovate for 10 days and then a 'step down corticosteroid. My skin has calmed down significantly and I attribute this at least partly to the antibiotic.

If it is an autoimmune skin issue you could try phenylalanine an amino acid it works really well for some people also try evening primrose and flaxseed oil
