Long threads from spot-like lump??

I had a small, dark pimple-sized spot on my ribs. I struggle with skin picking and ended up lancing it.

About 3-4cm of thick yellow ‘thread’ came out when squeezing, including a lump (in the ‘middle’ thread)

Should I be concerned/mention this to my doctor or should I just keep it clean and ignore it.
