Hi there, I am 32 and have suffered with Eczema, sinusitis, Asthma all of my life.. My Eczema is by far the worst condition and is becoming unmanageable. I have had several prednisolone courses in the recent year and cannot justify any more, my skin is terrible on my face and neck, my else look swollen and it is very raw. Does anyone have any suggestions on what they have used that may help? I use Doublebase, Eumovate & Nerisone with Oilatum in the bath & Dermol in the shower, any help would be most appreciated!! Thanks You.. :)

I assume your asthma gets worse when you have flare ups. Eczema flare up is very much linked to level of stress as well as other environmental factors such as allergens. Try to eliminate triggers such as allergens. One or some of the ingredients in creams/emollients can also cause allergy and instead of treating they will worsen the condition. Although I am not suggesting this is the case here, for example Benzalkonium Chloride content of Dermol can cause skin allergies in small number of users. The reaction may gradually worsen as and when the product is used continuously.

Failing that send me your details to my pharmacy and I will send you a sample to try. Go to google and search for Trio Pharmacy in Shepperton.

Hi There - many thanks for your answer and also your kind offer, I will take you up on this :) My Asthmas, although chronic up until around 15 years old is so well controlled now, I use Filxotide probably around once a week even though I am meant to use it daily. Would you know if there is any reason why the neck & face are affected more? The cracks in my arms / legs are still red but not very noticeable, my hands barely break open now in the winter so it's just my shoulders upwards, any thoughts? Thanks again. James :)

Hiya brummyjames, I am the Mom of a 27 year old son, he has suffered with eczema all his life, tried endless remedies, potions, bath oils, seaweeds...you name it we've tried it. Seen endless dermatology consultants...they all prescribe the same ointments and emollients and drugs that never work. I have found someone called "Wilding" on YouTube that has suffered with eczema all his life and through his own research has discovered the only way to heal eczema is through diet. Just take a look at some of his videos and you can even email him...he's always responded to me with help and advice. My son is currently starting his third week of the diet and also battling with steroid withdrawal/red skin syndrome.

I hope this small snippet of information will help you, you may find that the diet will help and also if you are using steroid creams then try and get some advise from the "ITSAN" website on the best way to stop the use of them, they have caused a massive problem now for my son to overcome.

This is one fight that we are going to win!

Hi brummyjames, you could try Pimecrolimus cream which is an alternative to steroid cream. There are also other oral medications you can try, e.g. azathioprine, but they do have side-effects.

I've had some very out of control Asthma over the last 4 or 5 years. I was put on Fostair 100/6 inhalers just over a year ago and I've been amazed at the difference. I only need around 2 puffs daily, sometimes less and I've not needed Salbutamol inhalers at all, and I have not had any attacks at all since switching to this.

Hi, I've found that Forever aloe gelly and propolis creme works with eczema combined with drinking their aloe berry nectar or bits and peaches inner leaf gel. Bee pollen and berry nectar work very well for asthma sufferers. I'd be happy to consult with you if you would like further information, Rachael. rachaelguest@googlemail.com

I have had eczema flareups on my face for years and have had many issues finding something that not only worked, but worked quickly. It's really hard finding a product that is both safe and effective to use on your face (especially around the eye area), but foderma serum is a miracle worker. There is a very noticeable difference in the skin just within 24 hours of using it. I've put it directly on the eyelids without any irritation or negative effects. If you struggle with eczema on your face I'd strongly recommend using this serum. Save yourself the trip to the dermatologist!

I am in the middle of an eczema flare up. For weeks I couldn't sleep more than two hours at a time because I was so itchy. I was getting rashes all over my body and I was uncomfortable all of the time. I was planning to go to the dermatologist but I couldn't get schedule until a month out. I would not be able to survive all that time not sleeping.

I ordered foderma serum after seeing a few good reviews on google and the night that I first put it on, I slept almost all the way through the night. Now that I have been using it for about a month, I ordered another tube. My eczema everywhere is healing really quickly. It is still itchy sometimes but it isn't anywhere near as unbarable. I am so happy with it and have confidence it will end my flare up soon!
