Feeling of impending doom can be a symptom of OCD. Do you have anxiety?
Like Lauragbr said. This can be a symptom of OCD. Do you have any re-occurring thoughts or worries? Are you ruminating on specific thoughts or worries? Part of what makes OCD so bad for me is the feeling that I can't "get away" from the feeling it brings on.
I've learned that you need to "sit with" those thoughts and feelings. It isn't always pleasant, but doing so has allowed them to lessen over time.
OCD and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) are often linked. Some circumstances can trigger a feeling of uneasiness in some people who then feel a need to avoid what's, in their eyes, is the source of that uneasiness. Sometimes an apprehensive mood could come over us without obvious reasons. "It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult" (Seneca).
OCD or a compulsive search for a way to ward off bad luck, avoid a possibility of harm, or redeem oneself through self-denigration helps reducing one's discomfort, at least for a while.
In my opinion, the difference between GAD and OCD is that, with the first one, we feel alarmed for obvious reasons or not, whereas, with the second one, we feel compelled to try removing a source of torment that may be more easily identified.
