Hope all is well with everyone. Does anyone else feel as though they tend to breakdown and cry or get overly stressed about small things? I find it is only ever something small that will break me. Is it the same for anyone else or about OCD, or is it just me? I have been dealing with moderate OCD for about 5 years now, and I feel as though maybe it could be a build up of stress which causes these meltdowns. Can anyone relate?
Stay safe!

I've also been dealing with moderate (undiagnosed) OCD for about 5 years, and find your question rather intriguing.
Am I sensitive and more likely to stress the small things?
Signs point to yes! Personally.
OCD sufferers are constantly fighting intrusive obsessions, unwanted compulsions, and disorienting rumination of various kind and degree. This causes regular distress and mental exhaustion - or in other words - a buildup of stress.
Now let's spill some milk (figuratively speaking of course). Imagine a puddle, and broken glass on the kitchen floor. It's a real mess, unfortunate mistake, and potential hazard.
Someone with Existential or Pedophilia OCD may greet this "small thing" as a welcome distraction from their otherwise cruel thoughts, while someone with Harm or Perfectionism OCD would be more likely to "trigger", breakdown, and cry over the spilt milk.
Therefore, I hypothesize that OCD sufferers don't have a sensitivity to small things. They have a sensitivity to specific things.
