I have experienced the same issue with weekends but things have gotten better when I started to recognize that it was related to having less structure in my day. I suggest to come up with a plan or itinerary of sorts. It doesn’t have to be super detailed and you can plan some relaxing time, but make a to do list and the structure could help you focus more on the activity and less your thoughts.
Yes, I have the same dread about the weekends. The thing that works for me is to start both days with exercise. One day I make a short trip to go hiking or to the beach and run and the next day start with walking or running around my neighborhood and then I'm in a much better place to get the stuff done around the house like laundry etc. Otherwise the weekends would be a downward spiral.
