Perhaps if you alter your approach slightly. The human brain is a magnificent creation capable of multiple simultaneous calculations that man-made computing technology has yet to achieve. Look at it as the wonder that it is. It also might help to begin, if you have not already researching various scientific subjects such as quantum theories, astronomy, earth sciences, topics that challenge your thinking process and comprehension. Swimming upstream against the current that is OCD is challenging at best and most often results in frustration that serves to aggravate the situation. Accept it, learn to adjust not to fight or resist it. Train yourself to flow with it, use it to your advantage Hopefully this will help you as this approach has served me well.

Hi there,

Know that you are not alone in what you are feeling. I recommend talking with a therapist/counselor about how you are feeling and maybe they can help you understand if the thoughts you are having relate to anxiety and/or OCD. Remember, thoughts are just thoughts. Although they can make us anxious and upset (and I do recognize this), we don't have to respond to them. Practicing mindfulness and a technique called noting (recognizing when a thought comes, labeling it as a thought and then letting it go) may help. I hope this helps.
