Very good article. I've been working my way out of a contamination-themed relapse these last few months, but coronavirus doesn't bother me. In fact I have to smile at the irony that "normal" people are anxiously washing their hands more at the very time I'm trying to wash my hands LESS. Not trying to downplay a serious situation -- I'm diligent about following official guidelines, especially around high-risk folks, but I'm also diligent not to obsess over those guidelines, because that's a rabbit hole for me.
Also, this sentence
"Second, set a basic safety regimen — and avoid the temptation to add to it."
is great advice for many things in addition to coronavirus. If the health department recommends washing your hands for as long as it takes to sing "Happy Birthday," don't sing "American Pie" (all the verses) just to "be sure." Do what a normal, conscientious person would do and get on with your life. The temptations to do extra are just OCD alarms and garbage.
