The thoughts revolve around themes such as not hurting anyone's feelings, speaking the truth, honesty, not giving incorrect information about anyone's moral character.
Since these morality themes are of value to me, OCD targets them, since OCD knows they will bother me.
Thus, the compulsions involve checking, doubting, reassurance seeking, analyzing conversations by replaying them.
OCD digs into topics that will cause me high anxiety, since it involves morality.
These could be just random thoughts on any topic that I have talked about to anyone.
Wow-another topic that has been like me....I can relate to you desipurple19, and it’s harsh I know. I now just walk away, tolerating the discomfort. In time it will just click. My past therapist gave me this little trinket-‘Perfectly Imperfect’ we won’t get things just right and yes, we will get an urge to confess or analyze etc....but, ocd is just using anything in our lives to attach to-
