Cross Tapper Meds?

Has anyone here cross tappered medications? I'm supposed to switch from Lexapro to Zoloft on a cross tapper, but I'm super nervous. for those not familiar with what it is...you lower the dose of the original medication and add the smallest does of the new med. So I'd be taking 10mg lexapro and 25mg of zoloft for the next 8 days. Just wondering if anyone has done this before. Thanks.

My daughter went through this process switching from Zoloft to Luvox. Everyone is different, but she had no issues during the switch. It took about a month of decreasing Zoloft while slowly increasing Luvox each week.

Best wishes for a smooth transition.

Hi there,

The best thing to do is discuss this with your doctor. Everyone reacts differently to drugs and you cant compare yourself to someone else’s experience because your body may react differently.
