I have known many people that benefited from anti psychotic medications much more than anti depressants. Would anyone agree? Or disagree?
I have been reading these posts , and it seems the Zoloft and lexapro are the main ones used.
I actually tried both. For me lexpro made my OCD 10 fold worse. Zoloft not as bad. But still worse. Wellbutrin had a better effect on me. But still not anything to remarkable
Has anyone with OCD worsened on these meds? Or found a class of drugs that pulled them to a dog gent level over the mainstream ones?

I’m on some weird meds since Classic ocd meds don’t work for me! I’m on nemenda (often used for Alzheimer’s), ziprazadone (anti psychotic), evekeo (for my adhd, but helps with ocd as well), trazadone (for sleep and depression), buspirone for physical anxiety symptoms and one other one that I only take when I have high anxiety or panic attacks. All that being said it took me a long time to find this combination to work a little and I require high doses, and while they do help, therapy is more helpful in my case! But meds are different for everyone, I just am lucky to have found a psychiatrist to sort of think outside the box and try nontradional meds. It was a lot of trial and error, where some meds made things worse or had bad side effect like you had mentioned!
everyone is different, but I see fluvoxamine ( Luvox) ,citalopram, sertraline, fluoxetine, paroxetine all mentioned as meds for OCD in face book ocd groups
