Hello everyone. I have had OCD for 30 years, my mother has OCD, and I am a mother of an 8 year old with OCD. A lot of the time I feel like I am triumphing and that I own my OCD, and that I use it to my advantage, but sometimes I get to a place that's really low. I feel like that this week and so I decided that I was going to seek help, which I have never done before outside of my family. I am just wondering how you guys function in your relationships with your family members or your spouse who does not have OCD, and how you discuss your condition with them without sounding whiny, or like a victim. I believe that I can use my brain disorder intelligently and to my benefit, but in relationships that is very difficult. Do you have any techniques?

i think practising detachment may work.because we behave with stranger in well manner but why not with our peoples because we are proffessional with strangers.so we should try detachment and try to be proffessional rather than emotional with peoples close to our heart.
