I started taking Prozac about 3 months ago and it’s helping my ocd tremendously. One side effect (?) that I’m having is non-stop “ear worms” of songs in my head. I read online that Prozac is prescribed to help ALLEVIATE ear worms but I don’t remember having them this often before I started taking the Prozac. It’s almost making me want to switch meds which I do not want to do because it’s working.
Anyone have this? Any input would be appreciated. Like right now all I’m hearing is Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” Yesterday was Whitney Houston 🙄... help!

I am on Prozac and certainly have almost non-stop songs going through my head. I really have no idea if the two things are related because I certainly had this quite commonly before I was on Prozac as well.
This isn't super helpful, but is it possible just to live with the song in your head? The only annoying thing that I've found is sometimes I have a song stuck in my head that I really don't like. Then I will try to get a different song stuck in my head instead. Beyond that I just enjoy the song and don't let it bother me. I'm replaying Heroin Girl by Everclear in my head right now.
I've taken Prozac for years, and I do often have songs stuck in my head ... however, I'm sure that I've always been that way, since I was a small child. Do you remember whether you were that way when you were younger? But it got suppressed at some point and medication has allowed it to resurface.
