Open Questions About Exposures

My OCD is severe and it eroded my life, but I got help! I went through an intense partial hospitalization program and did many extreme exposures! My intrusive thoughts were crippling and my fears were ferocious... I did many extreme harm exposures ranging from knives to throats to reading and recording dreaded worst case scenarios and going around to staff telling them I was a pedophile... my attitude was “sounds awful, let’s do it!” and it was both the hardest and greatest thing I have ever done. Please ask me questions and I’d be happy to share my exposure experience and symptoms to help encourage others. Much love, y’all got this!

I went to Rogers Behavioral Health. Their residential program is in Wisconsin, but they have satellite offices all over the US. I went to their office in Philadelphia and did their partial hospitalization program. Also, I know that they take a handful of insurance and I’m pretty sure Medicare, and they do an extremely good job working with insurances. I would absolutely recommend seeing if their is a Rogers facility near you as they specialize in OCD as opposed to other behavioral hospitals. Furthermore, other great programs (both residential) are MacLean in Boston and Houston OCD in Texas. Let me know if you have any more questions. Best of luck!
