Hi has anyone been able to source interferon from any pharmacy in Ireland as I'm off now as in shortage again platelets 964 only on aisprin hospital are happy enough to keep me monitored for now tks to everyone in advance

Hi there and sorry that you are this predicament. As I know in England we cannot get any Inferno from Pharmacy, only hospital is able to provide some for they MPN patients. Shortages still present and nobody knows what is next with this situation. Wishing you well.

Sorry to hear about the issue that so many are encountering. Some healthcare systems are allowing patients to access Besremi while waiting for Pegasys to resume availability. I do not know what Ireland is doing in this regard. The good news is that Pegasys should be available again by the end of the year. Hopefully, it will prove to be so.

The new manufacturer had hoped perhaps by summer 2025 but that seems to have slipped a little. Our local health system approved my switching form Peg to Bes until summer 2027 as they are not sure when we are likely to see consistent supply return globally.

That is what is projected. Hopefully the new manufacturer will be geared up and approved by then.

I'm in Ireland and my hospital sends it down to my local pharmacy for me.
