It’s important to speak to your partner’s doctors about this first but in principle I don’t think it should be a problem, as interferon is often used for younger people so they can still have children without the risks associated with chemotherapy.
We are in a similar position - waiting to see if I need to start treatment and if so am going to ask about peg interferon as I think that’s the safe one for fathering children. Of course do check with your doctor but I think it’s ok. Good luck!
Thank you they wouldnt let him have the peg inteferon as wouldnt be funded. So he has inteferon alpha 3 times a week. Hope all will b ok as its just another kick in the teeth for him at such a young age.fingers crossed all will be ok.
They actually give it to pregnant mothers but I haven't heard any mention of how it affects sperm. Please share your answer from your doctor when you get it
Cant get an appointment till 30th may so no further forward on the baby situation
