My wife sometimes says that she feels hungry but I never do and have maintained my weight at 12 stone easily.
Quick history - 4.5 years shielding Covid-free - family wedding - Covid two days later- ten days clear again (half a stone lighter) - BUT ever since I am hungry all the time....
Have you come across this after-effect before?
Did it last?

this is a non medical reply and don't know if has any basis in fact. I've noticed my body likes to keep at a set weight for a time. Maybe your body "wants" to get up to what it thinks as it standard weight and if you reach that maybe the hunger pangs will go away
I'd think about how long you've been better from covid/ravenous. Your body may have used a lot of energy when you were sick and might still be stocking up lost energy.
When I've gotten covid, I've been ravenous the first day or two while sick, then I lose my appetite for for the next few days as my body continues to fight it, and then I'm really hungry again once I'm better. That usually doesn't last for more than a week or two.
Thank you Lucy - that is interesting- I lost my excess half a stone in Covid - post covid put all back in no time flat - now still hungry but getting weight down by quarter stone so it will be interesting to see what happens next ! Target weight and hunger banished here I come !!!
