I posted a phone number recently to inquire with the company about it. While I have no horse in this race, I was curious their response. So I called and they escalated it and phoned me back.
The rep stated with full confidence "there is no shortage in the USA." She would not offer any details upon my asking. I asked about UK, - not her department although this phone is supposed to support both US and UK.
So for USA members, if you are having trouble this employee of the guys making it thinks you're imagining it, and they need educating. The phone is (888) 814-7734.
I also confirmed the non-peg IFN Roferon is not an option, neither they nor Roche have any mention of it.

I thought that something is dodgy going on from the beginning of this sharada began. It just does not make any sense to this whole situation. For me if this is the case of shortage everyone including medical professionals would have be aware off long before shortage happen. Even, as they told us that Roche Parma stopped production as to sudden close of contract, they should have huge stock available even at the time of contract being closed??!!
I am in the US and have called the company twice and have been assured that there is no shortage and they didn’t seem to know about any worldwide shortage. All of this makes no sense and I’m not sure. I totally trust the information I’ve gotten. I am getting very good results from my pegasys and I am going to be very very concerned unable to get it here.
I really feel for the people in the UK who are having trouble accessing their medication. Hopefully this is resolved soon.
Hi, MPN Voice say that there is an "international" shortage due to the company being sold and Peg. Interferon won't be available again for a year!! I am on a 6 month break and find that a bit scary. It's interesting that there is no shortage in the US. They must manufacture it themselves and not rely on the European company. If MPN Voice are right then there should be some legally binding contract with the new buyer of the company that they continue to manufacture certain drugs. It is wrong that the original owner had employees and the lab to produce it and yet this has not been taken over. I wonder how come we cannot get Peg. Interferon from the States then, rather than leaving us out in the cold.
